A lovely day out, even the weather was good for us. Francisco is such a great guide, very knowledgeable about all the places we visited and places en route. The highlight was definitely the coffee and wine tasting, such a beautiful area, and tasty cake and cheese to go with the drinks. There is a shop, fortunately, to buy the only coffee grown in Europe. Dinner is later than on some tours but in one of Spains most beautiful villages, with views of the tallest cliffs and the dragons tail. There is some walking up steep inclines but its mainly a more mature group (snowbirds) so the pace is gentle. Would definitely recommend to people wanting to know more about the north of the island.
An informative tour, with an enjoyable wine tasting, which was payable extra, but good measures and a snack lunch. I didn't find the tour exceptionally exciting, perhaps because I have done others in the Canaries before, but Maria was very organised and explained everything in good detail.
Our tour guide was a source of infinite knowledge. She spoke English and Spanish. Very friendly she led us through the day. It was a very mixed group but also very nice. As with such excursions, you are in a time corset and can't allocate time freely. We would have liked to have stayed longer or walked more in one or the other place. But to comfortably see a lot, the tour is perfect. At the coffee tasting we would have liked to know more about the product and the production. Coffee and wine were very delicious.
Took then opportunity to leave LP and get to see a bit of the island. The focus of the trip was the lovelier places of the north. Nice trip, great guide and pleasant participants. I recommend.
It was a very nice tour, only the part at the banana-plantation was a bit unnecessary, because it was just on the parking lot... The rest of the trip was very nice: an excellent guide, good tasting of wine and coffee, nice places to visit. It is worth taking the trip
Excellent, knowledgeable guide who spoke English very well. A very interesting day. Being based in Las Palmas, we didn’t know how beautiful and varied it was along the north coast of the island.
We were in places, like Aguete valley which we did not visit on our own because they are hidden gem. Also we got some information about every place visited
A day of wonders .A little best of everything: nature, flowers , past, wine, cheese , coffee ,ocean and guidance.
Firstly it appears that we paid over $50 on the now advertised price. The driver and guide were great, but that is as far as it goes. You do not visit a winery or a cheese factory, instead you are taken into an empty shopping mall and offered three slim slices of cheese and a thimble full of wine at an extra cost of 7 Euros per person. A complete rip off. The lunch stop is a very beautiful fishing village and you have 45 minutes to have lunch, which basically meant negating with the local restaurants “what can I have so I don’t miss the bus”. Last point, depending where you board the bus, expect to spend up to 30 mins at the beginning and end of the tour picking everyone up across the city of Las Palmas. Really not worth it.
Excellent guide. Well timed visits. The 40 minute cheese and wine tasting was in a sterile modern characterless hall above a food market. Cost €7 and that gave you 6 thin slices of 3 different cheeses and one minimal glass of red or white wine. Best left out of the trip or move it to the excellent coffee plantation in an amazing valley with it's own micro-climate. Overall then the trip was good value and very enjoyable.
