Michel was a great guide! He explained the amazing landscape of Iceland. I was fun company. I can’t recommend The to highly enough!
This was just as memorable. Mical took us to hidden waterfalls, places not crowded with tourists. Those small details made a big difference and made the whole trip feel exclusive. He also shared useful tips, from which lagoons to visit to insights about Iceland that you won’t easily find online. Also, prepare your outfits. They take great photos. You get a guide, a private car and a photographer all in one. Hard to ask for more from a tour. Overall, the experience was worth every penny. You can’t put a price on moments like this.
We had an amazing private South Coast tour experience! It was just my girlfriend and I, and our guide made the entire day feel personal and relaxed. He was kind, patient, and never rushed us at any of the stops. One of the best parts was that he also took photos of us at every location and gave great direction so we could get some really beautiful shots together. It felt like having a tour guide and photographer in one! He also gave great advice about what was worth visiting and what we could skip, and he was a very safe and comfortable driver. Overall, an incredible experience. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much Jessie, I really appreciate you taking the time to share this! It was a pleasure spending the day with you both, and I’m glad it felt relaxed and personal — that’s always the goal. I’m happy you enjoyed the photos too, it’s always fun helping create those moments together along the way. See you next time!
We had the most fantastic experience with Icelandic Roamers and cannot recommend them highly enough. We did two tours — a Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) tour and a 14-hour South Coast tour from Reykjavik — both guided by Michal, who was our guide, photographer, and driver. Michal was truly amazing. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Iceland, friendly, easy to talk to, and made everything feel seamless from start to finish. Even though the South Coast tour was 14 hours long, it genuinely didn’t feel like it — we had so much fun the entire day. We played our own music, stopped for lots of snacks and Icelandic hot dogs, and enjoyed every moment. Some of our favorite highlights included stunning photos at Skógafoss, the breathtaking Glacier Lagoon (Jökulsárlón), and Diamond Beach — which was honestly one of the most spectacular views we’ve ever seen. Even Reynisfjara’s black sand beach, despite some erosion, was absolutely worth the stop and still incredibly beautiful. Planning was effortless thanks to Miro, who was extremely responsive, clear, and thoughtful in his recommendations. For our South Coast tour, we were able to choose four stops, and he gave great insight into which ones would be most worthwhile alongside the ones we had already selected. The photography turnaround time was unbelievably fast, and we were even surprised with a beautiful video from our two days — such a special touch. These are truly memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime. The vehicles (jeep and van) were immaculate and comfortable, and overall the experience felt personal, smooth, and thoughtfully curated. We would 100% recommend Miro and Michal — not just as tour guides and photographers, but as the friendliest faces to explore Iceland with. If you’re considering a private tour in Iceland, book with Icelandic Roamers. You won’t regret it!
Thank you so much for this incredible review — it truly means a lot! I’m really happy to hear how much you enjoyed both tours. Michal will be very glad to read your kind words as well. He’s an amazing guide and photographer, and I’m so glad he was able to make your time in Iceland such a fun and memorable experience. Thank you as well for the kind words about the planning process. I’m really glad everything felt smooth and easy from the beginning — that’s always what we aim for. We truly appreciate you choosing Icelandic Roamers for your trip and trusting us with these special memories. Hopefully Iceland will welcome you back again someday for another adventure!
We did a private tour with Icelandic Roamers as a family of five, and it truly made our entire trip to Iceland. Our guide was incredibly kind, patient, and thoughtful especially with our four-year-old daughter. He was so gentle and warm with her that she absolutely adored him, which meant the world to us as parents. We saw everything we hoped to see and more, and he knew exactly where to take us to capture the most beautiful photos. Every stop felt meaningful, never rushed, and perfectly tailored to our family. What really stood out was his personality and passion. He was outgoing, extremely knowledgeable about Iceland, and you could genuinely feel how much he loves his country. That love and enthusiasm shined through in every story he shared and every place he showed us. This tour wasn’t just sightseeing it was an experience we’ll never forget. Icelandic Roamers truly made our trip, and we couldn’t recommend them more, especially for families looking for a personalized, unforgettable adventure.
My fiancé and I recently got engaged and we asked Miro to help take engagement photos on our south coast tour. We were thoroughly impressed! We've done plenty of tours that advertised professional photography, but the cameras were the only professional thing about them. Miro actually knows what he's doing. He even took some videos of us dancing on our phones that turned out better than anything we've ever captured on our own. We also added in a few custom elements and Milo was super accomodating, including Icelandic horseback riding and a drop-off at the Aurora igloo, where we saw beautiful northern lights later that night.
Miro is a professional guide and photographer. He is passionate about what he does & shares good knowledge in places we visited (including secret waterfall!!) Psst! He can tell you the best spot to pose for a memorable photo shoot as well!!! We had such a memorable and wonderful time with Miro & Freeze, would love to come back again to have more adventures with them!! p/s: want to find out more about “Freeze”? You need to get on a trip with Miro.
From the moment Miro drafted our itinerary until he dropped us off on the last day, everything was perfectly smooth. The hotels he chose and the places we visited were all thoughtfully selected, giving us the perfect balance between Iceland’s iconic landmarks and its hidden gems. Miro made our 5 day trip incredibly special and comfortable. He’s fun to be around, full of knowledge, and always made sure we were enjoying every part of the journey. And as a bonus, he’s an amazing photographer who captured our memories beautifully. We’ll always look back at this trip with so much happiness and gratitude thanks to him.
When one sees 200+ 5-star reviews, pay attention! We used Icelandic Roamers for a 10-day family trip (5 adults). They helped us plan out our days and we saw everything that we'd hoped to see and then some. The pace was as we wanted it including a last minute text sent before breakfast "4 of us want to do nothing this morning and 1 wants to go on a waterfall chase, can you take her?" Our guide was very flexible, did not push us to do what we didn't feel like doing, and took exceptionally good care of us and our group. The photography was a real added bonus as the guide had great cameras and was very skilled...so we didn't even have to worry about taking photos and it was nice to have group pictures anywhere that we wanted. I can not speak more highly of the company and our guide who was Miro.
We had the best family trip and an absolutely memorable experience. The photos from our journey were truly spectacular, and our guide made the entire experience enjoyable and seamless. Over the course of two days, we explored many wonderful sights and created lasting memories. It was a well-organized and highly enjoyable trip that we will always treasure.
