Cette visite est parfaite pour les premiers visiteurs ou pour tous ceux qui cherchent à découvrir les points forts de cette ville Italienne historique et pittoresque. Nous commencerons notre voyage à l'emblématique Piazza Cavour, le cœur animé de la ville qui s'ouvre sur le bord du lac, offrant une vue imprenable sur les collines environnantes et la promenade du front de mer. De là, nous flânerons dans l'élégant centre historique de Côme, où des rues pavées nous mènent devant des tours médiévales, des palais Renaissance et des places animées. Au XIXe siècle, la place dédiée à Camillo Benso Le comte de Cavour n'existait pas, à sa place, il y avait un port maintenant enseveli. Au début, la place était caractérisée par des boutiques et des arcades, les bâtiments que nous pouvons voir aujourd'hui ont été construits au fil des ans. En très peu de temps, la Piazza Cavour est devenue un véritable "salon urbain". À la fin de 1800, une fontaine fut construite au centre de la place puis installée dans le Bronx Park à New York. Au début du 20ème siècle, trois parterres de fleurs (encore présents) étaient placés sur les côtés de la place. Des voies de tramway ont été construites puis remplacées par une route. Vers les années 1950, il servait de parking. À la fin des années quatre-vingt-dix, dix jets d'eau installés à l'intérieur du parterre de fleurs du nord constituaient le dernier apport architectural de ce lieu. La place est susceptible d'être inondée à cause de sa construction sur le lac.
Le Teatro Sociale, théâtre de Côme, conçu par l'architecte Giuseppe Cusi, a été construit en 1811 en utilisant la structure existante d'un ancien château (on peut voir les murs d'origine encore aujourd'hui). Le premier spectacle a eu lieu en 1813 et, de nos jours, vous pouvez assister à des représentations théâtrales, mais c’est également un lieu propice à l’organisation de cérémonies, mariages, événements d’affaires.
La cathédrale, située près du lac de Côme, est l'un des bâtiments les plus importants de la région. Il a été construit à différentes périodes de l'histoire et permet de retrouver des styles gothique, renaissance et baroque. À l’intérieur de la cathédrale se trouvent le sarcophage des évêques Avvocati et de Bonifacio da Modena.
La basilique de San Fedele à Côme est située dans le centre-ville et est dédiée au martyr saint Fidelis. Elle provient d'une église chrétienne du VIIe siècle, dédiée à Euphemia.
Porta Torre (également connue sous le nom de Torre di Porta Vittoria) est une tour principale fortifiée située dans la ville de Côme, en Lombardie (nord de l'Italie). Elle a une hauteur de 40 mètres et a été construite en 1192 pour défendre l'entrée principale de la ville.

Very friendly and Good historical knowledge Tour was a bit shorter than expected, it may have been due to the extreme hot weather

Disgusting the tour guide operator didn’t turn up! Ruined our whole Como experience! Still waiting for a company representative to contact me! The number they provide is not in service!!!!!!
We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience. However, we must clarify that our guide was at the meeting point at the scheduled time. We personally attempted to contact you several times using the phone number provided in the booking, and our guide did the same. Unfortunately, none of the calls were answered, and we never received a callback. We can provide screenshots of the outgoing calls as evidence. We always do our best to reach guests who are not present at the meeting point, and in this case multiple attempts were made to contact you without success. For this reason, we respectfully disagree with the statement that nobody showed up or tried to contact you.
This was a fun walking tour! Our guide knew so much about Como - there is so much more history here than we originally thought! Definitely worth the time and money for the tour, we learned so much and our guide had great recommendations for restaurants as well.
