nice itinerary. although the itinerary says trip is 12 hours. Our trip completed in 10 hours. I am wondering if any stops were skipped or not ?
Hi I am sorry for the difference! Actually, nothing was skipped. We changed the itinerary a bit last year and crossed the border at the new location, which saved us some time. However, with a 10-11 hour tour, the main key factor is road works and lunch, which sometimes helps us save time but sometimes takes a lot of time away :) Last year there were so many speed limits due to the road works that the tour was ca an hour longer :( So we have communicated the tour to be rather longer than shorter so that people won't book anything for the early evening :)
We had an amazing day! Kullo was knowledgeable, passionate, enthusiastic, and engaging. Our day with Kullo was the highlight of our trip!
Would highly recommend this trip if you're travelling between the two cities. Our Guide, Kullo, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We booked a private tour for 5 of us and it was nearly an identical price to the group tour. One of our group had been unwell and had some mobility issues on that day and Kullo was brilliant at restructuring the tour to reduce walking or finding spots where our group member could rest while the rest did some more adventurous pieces. At on stop he walked downhill with us 3/4 of the way then ran back to get the van and meet us at the bottom. We greatly valued his knowledge of history, language, culture around the Baltic countries and asked lots of questions. He was also interested to hear about our culture and comparisons in culture and weather to our home country. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again Kullo.
Wonderful tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and it was wonderful to hear about Estonia from a native Estonian. We met some very nice people on the trip.
This was an excellent day tour and a great way to transfer from Tallin to Riga. Kullo, our guide was wonderful. Filled with passion and knowledge about Estonia, its history and nature. Our stops were very well planned and we got to see a lot of the countryside, smaller towns and the beautiful nature.
We took this to her from Riga to Tallinn. We had stops that were a mix of cultural and natural. The pacing was very good and lunch was lovely. The standout was our tour guide Joanna. She was exceptionally articulate, well informed, and responsive to our interests. She made the day a complete delight. We understood much more about the Baltics, from the history to the culture to the current lifestyles, by taking this tour. Definitely a highlight.
Very Nice trip, good guide and very good expirerience. Must do of you travel from Tallinn to Riga. Guide was very nice
Everything was well organised on this tour. The minibus was modern and if marginally short on leg room, I am a tall man ,very comfortable. The choice of stops was excellent medievil villages , castles ,a brewery for lunch and even an international bobsleigh course.Matiss our guide was superb. Extemely knowledgable he imparted the information in an interesting and enjoyable way. Matiss really was the person who made the trip so special.
Kullo ans Janar were our guides as we were 2 Mini Vans during this excursion. Amazing 'Tour' that it allows to join Riga from Talinn by spending the day discovering and amazing sight-seeing.
I’ll start by saying that I am inexperienced traveler. My wife and I flew to Riga to see the region before I started a work trip. We decided last minute to take a coach bus to Tallin for a one night stay and then take this day trip back to Riga. Booking occurred only 2 days before the trip without issue. We opted to do this trip to see some of the countryside with guidance from a local. We arrived to our meeting point early and were surprised no van was present. After waiting 10 minutes, I decided to call the company and it turns out they had booked us on the wrong trip and the van had left without us. Marii was incredibly apologetic and assured us they would take care of us. This is exactly what they did. While we got started 45 minutes late, not only did our guide Matiss provide an excellent tour, he customized some of the stops to our interests and tastes. To accommodate for the mistake, they treated the whole group (us and two other travelers) to an amazing lunch in Valmeira at Rales Varli. Wow! This lunch stop should be a stop on the tour for everyone, it was fantastic and I would have even gladly paid for that meal. In the end, we didn’t even arrive in Riga much later than usual. Plus, as a great way to make up for their mistake, they gave us a personalized drop off at our accommodations. I won’t detail the stops as other reviews will do that, we loved the choices too. I was a really big fan of the bobsled track. Fantastic customer service that made good on an honest mistake.
