BUNRAKU avec Audio Guide à Toyocho,Tokyo

Description
My husband and I loved the bunraku and the audio guide was extremely helpful.
We enjoyed this immensely. The audio guide was essential for us to appreciate it. It provided us with a bona fide visit to a side of Japanese culture that we would otherwise have missed.

This is a lesser known Japanese type of theatre. The puppets were exquisite and I could follow the story with the complimentary English audio guide.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for coming to our Bunraku performance. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the Bunraku performance, including the story. We look forward to seeing you again. National Theatre Japan
What an incredible performance to have been able to experience. The nuance conveyed not just by the puppeteers but also (and in fact especially) the narrator was incredible. We were taken on a journey that was every bit as immersive as any other art form that I've experienced. It was supported with audio narration for English speakers that provided enough information to understand context, including many subtleties, without being intrusive on the incredible performance in front of us. If you're coming to Japan to experience traditional Japanese culture, you should not miss this.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for coming to our Bunraku performance. We are delighted to hear that you were able to fully enjoy the world of Bunraku, including not only the puppets but also the tayu(narrator) and shamisen. We look forward to seeing you again. National Theatre Japan
Had heard about Bunraku and wanted to see it for myself. A lovely theatre, a special performance, and an interesting theatrical event. It was made all the more special because of the earphones that transcribed the story into English for me. The large puppets controlled by men in black were operated smoothly, beautifully, well-done. Liked the music, too. A different theatrical experience for someone from the U.S. who has never seen anything like it.
