Ouvert en 1883, ce pont emblématique a failli ne pas voir le jour. En admirant son architecture impressionnante, vous entendrez parler de la multitude de problèmes qui assaillent le processus de construction, ainsi que de la façon dont les ingénieurs les ont finalement surmontés. REMARQUE : La visite est de plus de 2 miles de long, avec plus de 25 histoires audio, et prend environ 1 - 2 heures à compléter. Nouveau, Accès à vie, pas d'expiration. En tant que frère moins célèbre du pont de Brooklyn, le pont de Manhattan est parfois injustement négligé par les visiteurs. Mais c'est une structure très pittoresque, et le quartier DUMBO tire en fait son nom de ce pont !
Ce carrousel en bois classique a été construit en 1922 pour un parc d'attractions à Youngstown, Ohio. Il a été restauré dans son état de fonctionnement d'origine et constitue une merveilleuse halte pour tous les jeunes.
Ces arches parfaites sont célèbres sur Instagram pour une raison. Si vous cherchez un super spot photo pour commémorer votre visite à Brooklyn, c'est l'arrêt qu'il vous faut. La brique rouge et la végétation luxuriante contrastent pour créer des instantanés vraiment mémorables.
Le sous-sol du 70 Willow Street est l'endroit où le célèbre auteur Truman Capote a vécu. Pendant son séjour ici, Capote a écrit ses œuvres les plus célèbres et les plus influentes : In Cold Blood et Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Cadman Plaza est un espace vert agréable nommé en l'honneur du révérend Samuel Parkes Cadman. En vous promenant dans cet espace paisible, vous apprendrez à connaître Cadman et comprendrez pourquoi il était suffisamment important pour nommer un parc.
Le Brooklyn War Memorial comprend deux statues de 20 pieds de haut, qui étaient parmi les plus grandes de la ville lorsqu'elles ont été sculptées pour la première fois. Il honore ceux qui ont combattu et sont morts pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Votre visite se termine ici, juste en bas de la rue d'où elle a commencé.

You can use your phone's GPS to get there, and once you're at the starting point, the app will take you over. We also have a 24/7 support team who could have easily fixed this for you. A great experience although my phone storage space kept running out and the app did keep crashing so I had to keep reopening it. It would be great if the app had a place where you could take pics/vids and then send them to yourself at the end so your storage doesn't fill up fast 😃

The tour could use more history and less general information like “that’s the Statue of Liberty”. The dumbo portion is hard to do on a weekend because the area is swarming with tourists. There were strange facts choices, as we were walking by the place where Walt Whitman worked, The tour audio instead decided to highlight a shake shack?? Not even the first shake shack, just a random one. I also think it could include more of Brooklyn heights which has so much more history and many significant sites. The tour doesn’t even take you on the promenade or by Arthur Miller’s house. But it was nice to generally have a structured walk all a beautiful fall day.
