To Nabil (tour guide), On May 4 of this year I signed up for a food tour and was the only guest to participate. I had to leave a little abruptly during the second half of the tour and honestly feel bad about sending this email this late I should have reached out sooner to let you know how much I enjoyed that experience. I travel a lot for work and have been on many tours, visiting historical sites and learning as much as I can, but that unofficial one-on-one tour around Little Italy and the historic parts of Boston stands out the most. I’ve done MANY tours in Boston, and this one is special not because of the itinerary or the historical sites, but because of how you partnered with me and truly showed me Boston, while also being great in casual conversation about the city, its history, and other interests. You were just really cool about everything, which makes you an extremely likable person. I really enjoyed talking and walking with you. Moments of conversation at those special eateries kind of felt Anthony Bourdain-esque. The only other way I can describe it is that it was a really cool experience. Once again, sorry for not reaching out sooner. I wish you the best, man, and hopefully when I make it back to Boston for work I can see about doing another tour. Also hope to keep in touch! Regards, David
Fabulous experience with Bob. He was a great story teller. And for the food part he took us to awesome lesser known places we would not have tried on our own.
Went for a girls trip to Massachusetts. We wanted to try and see a general overview of Boston while we were there. This was a very fun and informative and yummy tour! Would highly recommend!
Nabil was amazing, he really knows his stuff. I definitely recommend him. I can’t wait to do this again specially if he is the tour guide.
Wonderful experience with Olivia! She was on time, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about both the history of the area and the foodie bites off the beaten path. Great experience all around!
We had a great tour with Nabil, He was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!
Wonderful tour! Nabil was great! Super informative and great for our family with teens! Loved all the stories and great food locations! Would recommend!!
We had the pleasure of taking the Boston Food & History Tour with Nabil, and it was such a wonderful experience! Nabil was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and very knowledgeable about Boston’s history and food culture. We had a little trouble locating the starting point because the street sign had a different name than what appeared on my map. However, if you find the Registry of Motor Vehicles, you’re in the right place! We started at a very interesting bread company, where we got to try some delicious breads and learn about the history of this unique bakery and its bread-making traditions. From there, we stopped at a local grocery & deli, Salumeria, for a sandwich. We made our way to a pizza shop, Galleria Umberto, for a slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was delicious and had such a nostalgic, old-fashioned feel to it. The day we went was extremely hot, but Nabil was very thoughtful and made sure to bring us to shaded areas whenever possible, which we really appreciated. Our last stop was at a wonderful coffee house and pastry shop, Lavazza, where we enjoyed a cappuccino and a cannoli. Both were very good and were the perfect way to finish the tour. Along the way, we visited many historical sites and learned so much about Boston’s history. Nabil did a great job bringing everything to life while making the tour fun and enjoyable. Five hours may seem like a really long tour, the time flies & it does not seem too long. It is perfect! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great combination of delicious food, fascinating history, and a knowledgeable guide. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend Nabil and this tour!
