Notre visite historique commence dans l'une des merveilles architecturales les plus sous-estimées de Boston : South Station. Nous allons prendre un moment pour analyser l'énorme aigle et l'horloge qui dominent la façade. Remarque : La visite dure plus de 1,5 miles, avec plus de 18 histoires audio, et prend environ 1 à 2 heures à compléter. Nouveau, Accès à vie, pas d'expiration. En marchant le long de Harborwalk de Boston, nous regarderons de l'autre côté de l'eau pour un aperçu d'une véritable explosion du passé: un navire colonial rempli de caisses de thé! Nous en apprendrons davantage sur les événements du Tea Party de Boston, mais nous approfondirons également: qu'est-ce qui a vraiment causé cette émeute? Pourquoi les impôts étaient-ils si élevés? Qu'est-ce qu'une guerre internationale lointaine avait à voir avec le prix du thé à Boston?
Juste de l'autre côté de la rue, nous trouverons un superbe exemple d'architecture moderne avec la Réserve fédérale. En passant, nous apprendrons les histoires intrigantes derrière le nom fade.
À Russia Wharf, nous sommes officiellement au début de notre voyage Harborwalk et de notre voyage dans le passé. Nous en apprendrons davantage sur le commerce international en plein essor à l'époque coloniale ... la fondation qui mènera plus tard à l'épopée Boston Tea Party.
Les tours du port de style brutaliste sont incontournables. Le brutalisme faisait fureur dans les années 1970. Aujourd'hui, le style polarise les observateurs. Certaines personnes voient une sorte de beauté étrange dans les structures clairsemées et dominantes. D'autres voient, eh bien, tout simplement des bâtiments laids! De nos jours, vous pouvez toujours identifier le style n'importe où grâce à son apparence sombre et ressemblant à une forteresse. Le Harbour Hotel est une magnifique pièce d'architecture, mêlant harmonieusement les styles moderne et colonial. Son dôme en cuivre de 80 pieds contient une coupole en verre. Si vous marchez jusqu'au centre de l'arche et que vous regardez droit vers le haut, vous pouvez voir tout le haut du dôme jusqu'à la coupole en verre au-dessus.
Notre visite le long de la pittoresque Harborwalk se termine dans l'un des sites les plus historiques de Boston: Long Wharf. Des batailles coloniales contre les Britanniques aux foules modernes de touristes, ce quai reste un hotspot de Boston. Profitez de la vue et de l'histoire alors que nous concluons notre histoire à cet arrêt pittoresque.
Nous approchons maintenant d'un arrêt populaire à Boston et le long du Harborwalk: l'Aquarium! Cette immense attraction est partiellement construite sur le port, permettant à l'aquarium d'accéder à l'environnement naturel du port de Boston.
Le Harborwalk est long de 70 km, mais nous nous concentrerons sur le quartier historique du front de mer, de South Station à Long Wharf. C'est seulement environ 1 mile. Nous couvrirons tout, du Boston Tea Party aux derniers gratte-ciel le long du rivage.

Park at Harbor Garage for this experience, it starts around the N.E. Aquarium. The walk is like a sidewalk thing around the buildings, right against the water and the buildings so it is right against, it curves with the landscape. VERY nice experience. When you get to one of the spots with the app, it automatically tells you about the area which you arrived. Super interesting and a great job/informative.

A detailed guide with just enough of an experience of the Harbor Walk. The stop near the Tea Party Museum was great. You can go in the gift shop without buying a ticket to the museum.

Easy to load and use the app. GPS assures that tour aligns with the user’s location. Narration was interesting and educational. Using the app was far better than walking aimlessly through the city. I’ll be sure to look up additional tours when I’m touring other cities. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this GPS audio tour. Basically, you will along a Google Maps-like app to tour around the Seaport area of Boston. As you walk to the different stops, the app uses GPS to play the information about what you are seeing. The narrator was very engaging and funny. The tour was a good length and was very interesting. The sites were great and it was a beautiful and fun afternoon!
