Itinéraire
Prise en charge à 13h00 de tous les hôtels autour de la ville de Kota Kinabalu jusqu'à la fin. Ensuite, dirigez-vous vers Klias pour un trajet de 2 heures / 132 km en van / minibus. Arrivée à Klias à 16h, vous pourrez vous détendre et profiter d'un thé salut (café, thé et collations locales). La 1ère croisière fluviale commence à 16h50 et vous verrez l'icône Proboscis Monkey dans son habitat naturel ainsi que quelques observations d'autres animaux le long de la zone de mangrove. Un buffet de cuisine malaisienne locale vous sera servi pour le dîner avant d'embarquer pour la deuxième croisière le long de la rivière pour observer les lucioles magiques scintiller dans la nuit. À 19h30, vous monterez dans le bus / van pour le retour à la ville de Kota Kinabalu pour le retour à l'hôtel et marquer la fin de la visite.

Long van ride on some pretty bumpy roads. Guide, Elod, was chatty. Food at the base was reasonable. Saw proboscis monkeys, a pair of hornbills and fireflies. A good day.
Long trip. 4 hours round trip but approximately 75 minutes on the water to see <10 proboscis monkeys and less than 30 minutes to see about 2 bushes of fireflies. Great guide, though.
Great tour. Really worth the money. It was a 4 hour bus trip to get there and back from Kota Kinabalu but worth it. Afternoon tea, 2 1/2 hour boat trip, lots of monkeys, dinner then a 1/2 hour boat trip to see fireflies. Would recommend it.

After a 2 hour van journey from KK we had a snack at the base camp. It was raining heavily (shorts , sandals and rain poncho recommended) but when the rain stopped we saw several groups of monkeys high in the trees including proboscis and silver leaf monkeys and macaques. We also saw a couple of pairs of hornbills. Our guide gave us lots of interesting information and made us laugh. After a very good dinner we returned to the river where we saw lots of amazing fireflies. We loved this trip.

We booked the tour from their office in Likas Square KK. Christine was very pleasant, friendly and efficient. We had to postpone our tour and there was no problems or any extra cost and Christine booked us for the next weeks tour. She also took us to meet the bus driver and tour guide. The drive to the Klias River took approximately 2 hours. Once at the river we were given an afternoon tea and our life Jackets before we boarded our boat. The guides found many Proboscis Monkeys although the males were a bit reticent to get close to the boat. After the boat trip we were given a help yourself meal of the local food which was delicious. Once darkness descended we were back on the river to see the fireflies which although present they were not in huge numbers but those that flew through the boat elicited squeals of joy from some of the members of the tour. The drive back, though tedious, was very safe.

Very nice family tour, we see the long nose monkeys in short distance and also see many fiteflies. Afternoon tea and dinner are also good.

4 hours total drive time from Kota Kinabalu. Roughly 30 minutes on the river looking at monkeys/birds, then 5-10 minutes looking at firefly’s before leaving. Subject matter of the wildlife is interesting. “Tour Guide” did not offer any information on tour other than when it was time to get on the boat, went to sleep immediately when getting back in the van. Dinner was ok.

Excellent cruise led by the knowledgeable and funny Ms Khatta and Mr Roddy the driver. We got to see probiscus monkeys, kingfisher bird, hornbill, a crocodile and after sunset saw the fireflies flickering in the trees against the dark silhouette sky. The tour also included tea and snacks and dinner. Definitely worth the quick tour from the city. Thank you

If you haven't done the Kinabatangan River Cruise (which I did), then this tour is definitely worth doing. It was a good tour. My tour guide picked me up around 2.00pm from my hotel in Kota Kinabalu to get to Klias River Cruise around 4.30pm. We had a quick cup of tea and cakes before the first river cruise starting around 5.15pm. On the first cruise, we managed to see a lot of proboscis monkeys, macaques and a grey langur. We saw a monitor lizard climbing a palm tree as well. On one side we managed to see a crocodile along the river banks. Once the sun is set, we came back to base to have dinner, then did the fireflies tour at night after dinner. We have managed to see the fireflies around the trees and close to us - I actually caught one as it was in the palm of my hands but after 20 minutes, the rain came down hard and we had to get back to base and head to our minibus. The tour guide we had was great but it was a shame that the Fireflies tour was cut short due to torrential downpours.

Amazing evening, food was great, monkeys were there and fireflies were magical, be aware the travel to get there is quite long!
