I would recommend this to everyone. My wife and I had a blast. The village, the people, the guide, the food were all amazing.
We had such an amazing time at Etrim village! They organised a personal transfer from the hotel which was so convenient and drove 30 min to the village. The guide Tony immediately made us feel welcome by offering a drink on arrival. Together with the lovely lady we started cleaning the vegetables and created dolma, gözleme and other nice dishes in the kitchen. We didn’t make a dish from scratch to finish with cooking instructions but we took part in the preparation of multiple dishes! She was such a great teacher and wonderful company we enjoyed it to the fullest. Afterwards they finished the dishes for us to eat. I would 10/10 recommend if you want to do some cultural near Bodrum.
It wasn’t a good start as we arrived at the pick up point at the appointed time to find the office closed. We called Tony the agent who said he’d sent a WhatsApp message the day before changing the time to half an hour later. This didn’t arrive on either of our mobile phones. He arrived and took us to Etrim village at the amended time. The transport was supposed to be air conditioned. Apparently this meant if we were hot we could open the windows! The cooking class was excellent with real hands on activity and the instructor was first class explaining & demonstrating everything fully. We were close to and amongst the village cooks who were cooking for the restaurant. It was very authentic with everything grown locally but how they would cope with more than 2 guests I really don’t know. The final results were excellent and the meal was sufficient for far more than just the 2 of us. Everyone involved was absolutely lovely, it was certainly value for money and we felt that we’d contributed to the village community.
It was a really nice experience. Lovely people and Tony was a super nice sociable guy. My daughter loved the cooking class and the experience. Lovely quiet place to relax.
We loved our experience visiting Etrim Village. We were welcomed and driven to the village by Tony who made the day very enjoyable. The people in the village were so lovely, teaching us how to cook traditional Turkish meals and making sure we were cared for throughout the day. If you are looking for a unique and culturally rich day while in Bodrum, I highly recommend.
We enjoyed this little village! We helped cook food- grating carrots, stirring the pot, rolling cheese rolls. It was fun to do together as a family. We grated a lot of carrots, but then never ate anything with carrots, so not sure what they went to. We liked rolling the bread dough and baking it on the fire. We even got to meet Grandma a few houses down. A nice experience.
Easy from booking to transportation to the village. Kind and helpful hosts. Lovely ladies teaching us their skills. Very patient and fun
We are hospitably received in a beautiful setting. Being able to get acquainted with the local dishes. Guide proudly showed his village, making it an unforgettable experience
Absolutely perfect! Our delightful guide, Tony, picked us up at the cruise port and brought us to his beautiful village. Our hosts patiently taught us to make dolma and gözleme, accompanied by Turkish coffee and lots of smiles. We visited the rug weaving co op and then enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the charming restaurant. A day very well spent. Highly recommend this experience.
I had an amazing day on this trip. As a solo traveler I was warmly welcomed by everyone. The tour guide, Tony is very knowledgeable about the area and was always around to translate. I was welcomed with tea before I was taken to the kitchen to help the local ladies prepare various dishes. I was treated kindly by all the locals and enjoyed learning not only about the local food but also about the Turkish culture. The village is beautiful and it felt like a true authentic experience. The food I ate for lunch was also some of the best food I have eaten on my trip so far.
thanks for your comments , see you again for our other tours on 2025 summer. best wishes
