Went with family. Two groups in ixia and falraki. Hotel pick up both places meant we where on same trip. Swim stop was amazing as was symi. Beautiful lunch and stroll round shops. A big thank you to Agnes from half price yours who kept us right when I messed up the original booking. She sorted everything. . Kept in contact right through. Half price yours I would highly recommend
We had an amazing day on this trip! Pick up time was on time, admission fee was very reasonable for the length of time of the excursion and the experience. The boat was a little dated compared to others we saw, but it had a lovely atmosphere onboard. A lot of people were on the boat but there was plenty of room to sit and move around. All staff, crew and captain were lovely and the captain even jumped in the sea with us. Would 100% go again!
Do not book this trip. The advertised itinerary promised 3 hours on Symi Island and a swim stop at St. George's Bay. Instead, we only got 1.5 hours on the island before being told to return to the boat at 14:00.When we showed up at 14:00, they wouldn't let us board and said it would be another hour. We spent the next 5 hours (from 14:00 to 19:00) stuck at the harbor because the staff kept giving us rolling, hourly updates. While we could technically get off the boat, we were too scared to leave the immediate dock area or actually do anything because we were terrified the boat would suddenly leave without us.To make matters worse, they completely canceled the St. George's Bay swim stop, we didn't leave for home until 19:00, and the staff were incredibly rude throughout the entire ordeal. Absolute waste of a day and money.
Very disappointing experience. We booked the “Symi & St. George Bay” tour for €30 per person because it included a swimming stop at St. George Bay and around 3 hours of free time in Symi. Instead, the swimming stop was cancelled without any notice, and we were given only about 1.5 hours in Symi before being told to return to the boat. After that, we were repeatedly told different departure times (15:00, then 16:00, then 17:00–18:00), leaving everyone waiting for hours in the sun with almost no information. We finally arrived back in Rhodes at around 21:40 instead of 18:30, which completely ruined our last day of our holiday. If the delays were caused by the weather, we completely understand that safety must come first. However, the lack of communication and the way the situation was handled were unacceptable. We were constantly given incorrect information instead of being told honestly what was happening. To make matters worse, after returning to Rhodes I went to the company’s stand to ask about the situation. The employee told me he couldn’t help and asked me to contact his manager on WhatsApp. I did, but I never received any reply. Very poor customer service. I cannot recommend this company based on our experience.
Symi and St George’s bay , the title should be the other way around as it was swimming first then the symi town . It wasn’t as advertised . Walking around the town once wet and salty was not the most pleasant experience . If the trip to the town was first it would have been much more enjoyable . Starting at symi town would have meant feeling more comfortable and fresh . We were told that it was possible to swim at the bay later but the operator insisted later that it wasn’t . Operator did not explain plan at all , there was only a title to the trip
Very good boat trip, picked us us from hotel and dropped off which was an hour journey , very good option, very good scenery on the boat, amazing and clean water, swim stop was amazing and good time in symi to explore along the front and the island, even managed to get in the sea at symi island, would definitely recommend:)
We had an excellent day! The transfer from our hotel to their office in Rhodes was very good, on time and with a friendly driver. The staff in their office were nice with clear instructions about where the boat was in the harbour. They also gave us a really informative leaflet about Symi, with a 10% discount for a restaurant and a shop there, which we used. Great to see them supporting local businesses. The boat ride itself was very pleasant, the boat very nice and comfortable. In terms of where we visited on the boat ride, the water at St George Bay was so clear and deep blue, amazing for swimming in, with the backdrop of the spectacular scenery. Symi itself was really nice, so picturesque with colourful buildings up the hill side and deep blue water in the harbour. Would definitely recommend!
Simi Island and St George's Bay are absolutely beautiful, and the scenery alone makes for an unforgettable day. The only female member of the crew was lovely, friendly, and welcoming, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, there were several serious safety concerns that overshadowed the trip. First, please be aware that St George's Bay has extremely strong currents. We were not warned about this beforehand, despite the significant risk it poses. We booked through Viator with Half Price Tours on the M/V Zeus D. Once onboard, we were never informed that purchases were cash only, nor were we given any safety briefing, including where the life jackets were located or what to do in an emergency. The boat itself was also very cramped, with limited space for passengers. The most concerning part of the trip occurred at St George's Bay. A gentleman got into serious difficulty in the water and came dangerously close to drowning due to the strong current. Despite the obvious emergency, none of the crew appeared to notice or respond until I shouted for help. Even then, it took several minutes for a crew member to retrieve a life buoy—valuable time in a life-threatening situation. When the buoy was finally thrown to us, it landed nowhere near where we were and, incredibly, it was not attached to a rope or secured to the boat. As we tried to help the man back, the loose rope became tangled around our necks and legs, creating another dangerous situation. My partner, myself, and two other passengers were left to rescue the man with virtually no assistance from the crew. While we were struggling against the current to bring him back to the boat, other passengers were still being allowed to jump into the water in the exact area we were trying to reach. When we finally got back alongside the boat, the crew's priority seemed to be retrieving the life buoy rather than helping the man onboard or checking on his condition. They did not ask if he was okay, offer assistance, or acknowledge what had just happened. When we requested some water for him, they sent a young child to fetch it instead of assisting themselves. The overall attitude of several crew members was disappointing. Instructions were delivered abruptly (such as "Move feet"), with little courtesy or concern for passengers. At another point during the trip, a young girl became seasick onboard. The crew simply walked around the sick without checking if she was okay or attempting to clean it up. A few things future passengers should know: * You cannot swim at Simi Island itself. * St George's Bay requires you to either jump from the boat or climb back onboard using a ladder. * Simi Island involves a lot of walking and can be very busy, so I would not recommend this excursion for anyone with mobility issues or those who are not comfortable climbing or jumping into the sea. Simi Island and St George's Bay are genuinely stunning destinations. Finally, if the gentleman who was in distress happens to read this, I sincerely hope you are doing well. I am so sorry that you were left in such a frightening situation and that the crew showed so little urgency, care, or support. No one should have to experience that. Thank you to everyone who stepped in to help. The passengers who assisted in getting him safely back to the boat acted quickly and selflessly, and without their efforts, the outcome could have been very different. I cannot overlook the way this emergency
We had a fantastic day out! The boat trip was smooth and well organized, with plenty of time to explore the island at our own pace. We also stopped for a swim in a stunning bay with crystal-clear blue water, which was a real highlight. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable day!
The communication from Half Price Tours was excellent. The boat however was stated as luxury but certainly was not. Director chairs cabled tied together and wooden benches with plastic padding is not luxurious! The middle lower section of the boat was not air conditioned either!! The swimming stop at St George’s Bay was very well organised and great fun. We had under 2 and a half hours on Symi not the stated three hours but the island is beautiful and is certainly worth a visit. Be prepared for a long day as all together we were travelling 6 hours on the boat!
