Could not have had a better experience going on this food tour. My friend and I had Dan as our tour guide and he made the tour so enjoyable for us. Throughout the tour you get a great feel for the local atmosphere and the food that locals eat on a daily basis. I highly suggest you do this one your first day visiting Timisoara because you get a great feel for the city and good places to eat throughout the entirety of your trip.

We LOVED this tour. Andrei and Téo were excellent guides and teachers. We visited markets and food stalls in the city center and beyond, had the opportunity to learn the tram system, and got to hear all about growing up in Romania. Andrei, our main guide, also gave us insight into the revolution in 1989 and the current political climate. We learned about so much more than food! And we were stuffed and happy by the end.

I met with Marius...on time. He explained the tour, and we set-off. On the way he explained and pointed out landmarks of importance and answered the hundreds of questions I had. When it got to the dishes/snacks he once again explained everything so that the right choice could be made. What I loved most was that we sat with the local patrons at the market in Fabric and when we went for the drinks we sat in the square opposite the street...I travelled like a local and had a wonderful time. I definitely recommend this tour. Marius is a fantastic guide.

The tour guide was great, he could tell us a lot about the city, the people, the history, but also about what we were there for: Food! The food was great and varied, the city very nice

Fun tour with lots of delicious food and an opportunity to sightsee the city using public transportation. Start out hungry!

We had a wonderful day with Roberta! She was kind, knowledgeable & so much fun to hang with. The food was amazing and the history of Romania & Timişoara so interesting. We ate so much food we didn’t even need dinner when we got home 😆 Would highly recommend!

This tour was a lot of fun. We have been a many food tours but this one was the best. Roberta was an amazing guide and very knowledgable about the local cuisine and history. She knew all the best spots we couldn't have found on our own. Thanks Roberta!

We spent a wonderful afternoon with Sergiu learning about the culture and culinary traditions of Timisoara and Romania. The food was all excellent and our guide was very informative. We’d definitely recommend this unique tour to friends.

The Timisoara Food Tour was fantastic in terms of pacing and the amount/quality of the food. Our guide was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and you could tell loves Timisoara and Romania. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about the different cultures of the Banat region and some Romanian history. We will definitely be back to Timisoara! I must say that there is a looooooooot of food, very good food. It was a special edition of the food tour, it was only with burgers and beer. It's best not to eat the day before, so you can taste everything :)) The tour starts near Bălcescu Square and goes around the city until you reach Traian Square. During the tour, you pass through 5 restaurants, most of them made mini burgers especially for the tour. It's interesting to compare the tastes, sauces and buns with each other. In addition to food, we also stopped at 2 places with beer. I didn't taste it myself, but the people around me seemed excited and very pleased. Between restaurants we were told about architecture, architectural details especially and their meaning. You can tell that the tour was a success, at least for me and the person who accompanied me, because out of the 5 food places we visited, to 4 of them we returned to and go to frequently.
