Birdwatching Excursion écologique en bateau dans la mangrove - Faune et flore

Description

A great way to spend a day outside. We have seen many bird species up close with the mangroves in the background. And Adi was very friendly and helpful.
Dear Gideon, Thank you so much for your lovely review! I’m very happy that you enjoyed the day and had the chance to observe so many bird species in the beautiful setting of our mangroves. It was a pleasure guiding you and sharing this special part of Brazil with you. Thank you for your kind words. I truly enjoyed our time together and hope to see you again on a future adventure in Brazil! All the best, Adi
The excursion was all that we hoped for. We saw many species of birds in a tranquil setting with the backdrop of the mangrove forest. The guide was friendly and helpful all along. A perfect day out from Sau Paulo.
Thank you very much! 😊 We're delighted that you had such a wonderful day exploring the mangrove and observing its incredible birdlife. It means a lot to us that you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and felt well taken care of throughout the tour. Thank you for choosing to discover a different side of São Paulo with us. You're always welcome back, and we hope to see you again on another Brazilian adventure! Warm regards from Brazil!
Adi picked us up at the hotel and drove 1.5 hours to a local charming marina. The boat tour took 2.5-3 hours. We saw so many birds, different species and different sizes. The star of the day was definitely Guarara (scarlet ibis), which is a brilliantly red long beak bird we’ve never seen anywhere else. The scenery was gorgeous, the mountains in the background, the mangroves, and the colorful birds flying everywhere. It’s definitely worth the journey and time. On the way back we saw men selling crabs they caught in the mangroves. We wish we could stop and get some. The road trip took and from the river was also beautiful. Highly recommended. ❤️
Dear Edward and Ian, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a pleasure sharing this experience with you. The scarlet ibis (Guará) is truly one of the most spectacular birds in Brazil, and seeing their vibrant red color against the backdrop of the mangroves and mountains is always unforgettable. I'm delighted that you enjoyed not only the birdwatching but also the journey itself, from the scenic drive to the authentic local life along the river. Encounters like the fishermen selling freshly caught crabs are part of what makes this region so special and unique. Thank you for your kind recommendation. I hope to welcome you back to Brazil for more unforgettable wildlife and cultural experiences in the future! Warm regards, Adi
The day of our tour, the weather was poor (cold and rainy). Obviously this is outside the control of the tour operator, but possibly they could have been better prepared, maybe with some cheap disposable rain ponchos on-hand just in case, and more than just a small rag to keep all of the seats dry. The boat has a cover on top, which helped, but with the rain and the speed of the boat, we still ended up completely soaked by the end of the tour. Regarding the tour itself, our guide was extremely knowledgeable about both the birds and the history of the area. The tour includes locations around the mangrove as well as views of the favelas with their palefitas (houses on stilts above the mangrove), the cargo port, and the oil refineries and pipelines. Our hotel pickup and drop-off were a breeze, and we very much appreciated that they allowed us to turn up the heat on the way back to the city to help dry us off. I would be willing to try this tour again someday when the weather is better.
Thank you very much for your detailed feedback and for joining our tour despite the challenging weather conditions. While the weather itself is unfortunately beyond our control, your comments are absolutely valid, and we appreciate your thoughtful suggestions. The idea of having disposable rain ponchos available is excellent, and we will certainly improve our preparation and provide them for future tours in similar conditions. We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the knowledge and professionalism of our guide, as well as the logistics of the hotel pick-up and drop-off. It also means a lot to know that, despite the weather, you found the experience interesting and would consider joining us again someday under better conditions. Thank you once again for your honest and constructive review it truly helps us improve
Whether you're solo or with a group, I can't recommend this experience enough!! Easy pickup and drive straight from my hotel in Sao Paulo, we spent over two hours out on the water. Adi (my guide) was incredibly knowledgable, and for those who this matters to, his english was perfect. Seeing the birds was obviously the highlight (some colorful, others huge, none of which I've ever seen before), but even had we not seen any it would've still been a lovely trip out on the water. I also got to catch a few glimpses of Caiman, as well as seeing some birds eating fish right out of the water!! If you're interested in nature and birds and you hate hikes, this is the trip for you.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your time on the tour with Adi. He truly loves sharing his knowledge and it’s wonderful to know that his guidance made the tour memorable. We’re especially glad you got to see such a variety of birds and even some caimans! Experiences like these really show the richness of Brazil’s nature. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back for more adventures in the future!
Santos is a historic city near São Paulo. It is famous for its harbour, nice beachfront, and historical landmarks such as the Coffee Exchange or the Pelé museum. Despite the busy harbour (the largest in Latin America), Santos is an island among rivers, an estuary and the ocean, maintaining a rich mangrove full of birds. Now, imagine arriving at a small port, taking a boat just for you, the captain and the Sampa guide, and navigating for three hours in the calm waters of the river, discovering the flora and fauna of the region in a quiet sunrise, with fishermen here and there catching crags and fish. And, suddenly, dozens of wonderful bright scarlet birds, the famous Guará vermelho, catch crabs and schrimps, fly from the water to the trees where they have the nest, and train the chicks. Unforgettable! A must-do if you have one free day in São Paulo, and Sampa Trip is the option!
Dear Albert, I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed the birdwatching tour in the mangroves of Santos and Cubatão. Thank you very much for your words! And until the next journey!
Amazing tour with our very knowledgeable and helpful guide Adi. We learnt so much and saw so many beautiful birds on our trip. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Sao Paulo region.
Good morning Clara! Thank you very much for your words. It was a pleasure to meet you. We are waiting for you in São Paulo for more tours hug! Adi Zegman
We had a great time on this half-day tour. Our guide, Kali, was warm and welcoming and full of good information. The scenery was beautiful and the boat driver went out of his way to make sure we got to see as many birds as possible. It was a great escape from the city, but we were still back in plenty of time to do things later in the day, which is just what we wanted. Highly recommended! One note: be sure to bring a jacket - the boat will travel at high speed to get to and from the mangrove forest where the birds are, so you'll want an extra layer even on a hot day.
Hi Tammy, how are you? Thank you very much for your words. We are very pleased and happy that you enjoyed the day in the mangrove and managed to see some species of birds. We also thank you for the words regarding guide Kali, she was very happy. A big hug Adi Zegman
Unbelievable! I was quite hesitant to take a tour alone for the first time and my guide, Kalanit (Kalie) was tremendous!!! I left Brazil feeling like I made a life long friend! The tour of the Mangrove was absolutely unique and beautiful! To see the Scarlet Ibis and so much more in their natural habitat was a true wonder. For bird lovers and those who appreciate nature, do not miss this tour if you visit Sao Paulo!
Dear Márcia, thank you very much for your words, we at Sampa Trip Brasil and Kali are very happy that you enjoyed the tour through the mangroves. We look forward to seeing you for the next tour. A hug, Adi Zegman
Our guide Adi, before the start of the trip, welcomed us to a popular coffee bakery in the city for breakfast. This is the first highlight of the trip for us. It is a fun experience to stay close to and observe the daily life of the local people. Our captain has lived in the area for 30 years, speaking fluent English. The people in the store also love to protect our very friendly and comfortable environment. After the meal, he drove to Santos. There are many large and small yachts parked on the boat, the toilet is also quite clean.
Dear Andrew, thank you very much for your words. We were very pleased to take the tour in the mangrove. We hope to see you here in Brazil again. A big hug to you, your beloved wife and son. 謝謝你,阿迪·齊格曼
