Was awesome. Just provide more light with a flashlight when returning because it was too dark.
The company was good. Fun and interesting educational information Very nice and helpful staff. Got to handle a non-stinging jellyfish, They also showed a couple of stinging jellyfish. Interesting how we had to observed the bioluminescence dinoflagellates. You and partner need to be instinct rowing.
Misha is a great host. Although we were told that due to the sargassum, it would be difficult to see the bioluminescent creatures, we enjoyed kayaking and seeing the stars. Plus, the baby jellyfish, Peanuts Butter (PBJ), was great!
Easy paddle. Very informative, friendly, and funny guides. They provided detailed instructions prior to departure. The paddle through the mangroves at night was nice. The bay had high levels of sargassum, limiting bioluminescence visibility. They let us know a couple of days in advance and offered a discount or option to cancel. With the help of tarps we were still able to see some bioluminescence. The experience was well worth the price paid & Emily even gave us some restaurant recommendations. Best thing about this company - they operate on Sunday. Many of the others do not so this limits the “enemy kayak” traffic. We were the only group in the bay!
We had an excellent time on this excursion! The guides took really great care of us. I would highly recommend.
A spectacular experience! The cave and hiking tour was perfect: the route was simple and well organized. Jaime and his partner were exceptional guides, always attentive, professional, and with contagious energy. They made us feel safe at all times and shared very interesting information about the place. Without a doubt, they made the experience even more special. I recommend it 100% for anyone who wants to enjoy nature and have a fun adventure without it being too demanding!
We had a lot of fun kayaking through the mangroves under the stars! The guides we knowledgeable and kind (ours even shared her own bug spray). While our family had kayaking experience, others in our group did not, and the guides were patient about teaching them and helping them along the way. We went during a full moon, knowing the bioluminescence would be limited. However, the seaweed had also moved into the area, further preventing the bioluminescence--something no one could prevent. HOWEVER, this company actually texted and called us ahead of time to warn us of the conditions. While it was already in the fine print and the company had no obligation to call us personally, they wanted to be completely up front about the possibility of not seeing any glow because their customers' satisfaction was important to them. That kind of customer service and integrity is very important to me and is difficult to find! We opted to take the trip anyway and DID still see some glow. The guide even caught some of the jelly fish in the lagoon to show us. It was a lot of fun and we would absolutely do it again!
It’s was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed kayaking in the dark. We did not get to see the bioluminescence however.
Overall I’m glad we did this as a family however going through the mangroves at the beginning and the end was not fun. It’s so dark you can’t see anything, and if you lose the person in front of you, you are basically paddling without any direction. Once you get to the bay it is pretty cool seeing the bioluminescence. Wear bug spray!!
Fun, felt safe and the tour guides where awesome Jaimie and nitchi where very knowledgeable and keep the group together
