Vivez une aventure guidée en kayak nocturne à travers les magnifiques canaux de mangrove de Las Croabas à Fajardo, Porto Rico. En cours de route, nos guides compétents partagent des informations fascinantes sur l’écosystème de la mangrove, la faune locale, la vie marine et l’histoire du lagon unique de la région. Notre destination est la célèbre baie bioluminescente, où les clients ont la possibilité d’observer l’un des phénomènes les plus extraordinaires de la nature. Étant donné que la bioluminescence est une occurrence naturelle, sa visibilité varie chaque nuit et est influencée par les conditions environnementales telles que le temps, le clair de lune et les algues. Bien que la lueur ne puisse pas être garantie, chaque visite offre une pagaie paisible sous les étoiles à travers l'un des environnements naturels les plus remarquables de Porto Rico. Que la bioluminescence soit vibrante ou subtile, vous passerez une soirée inoubliable à explorer les mangroves et à découvrir l’un des écosystèmes les plus uniques de l’île.

Itinéraire
Après l'enregistrement, les guides se réunissent en groupe pour une brève séance sur le kayak de base, le code de la route et l'importance de maintenir une perturbation minimale de l'environnement du lagon bioluminescent. Ensuite, nous lançons nos kayaks et nous nous dirigeons vers une ouverture cachée dans les mangroves à l'extrémité nord de la plage. En entrant dans les mangroves, nous suivons un canal sur un kilomètre menant à Laguna Grande. Une fois que nous entrons dans la lagune, vos guides se réunissent en groupe pour une conférence informative sur : Cet écosystème unique, la flore, la faune et la vie marine qui peuple la lagune, et des notes historiques. Notre baie est très délicate car elle dépend de l'écosystème qui l'entoure. En raison des changements climatiques et d'autres facteurs, la baie bioluminescente peut réduire ses lumières fluorescentes. Cela signifie que la lueur n'est pas garantie . Tout dépend de causes naturelles ou humaines qui peuvent affecter les organismes. Notre société n'est pas responsable de ces changements car nous faisons de notre mieux pour offrir une expérience unique à tous ceux qui visitent l'île.

The guides were great. The excursion was very exciting. Only we did not see any luminance in the bay.
I had the opportunity to enjoy the Bioluminescence Kayak Excursion in Laguna Grande, Fajardo, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, together with my family and I can say that it was a simply unforgettable experience. From the beginning of the excursion, the guides Zion and Joel demonstrated exceptional professionalism. At all times they were attentive to the safety of the group, offering clear instructions and providing help when it was necessary, which made us all feel safe and fully enjoy the adventure. In addition to guiding us through the impressive channels surrounded by the mangrove forest of the Fajardo coast, they shared very interesting information about the Laguna Grande ecosystem, the importance of the mangroves, the fauna, the flora, and the natural phenomenon of bioluminescence. Their knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour much more than a simple kayak ride; it was an educational and enriching experience. We were even able to observe a small monkey that was watching us in a majestic tree. Paddling under the stars while the water glowed with bioluminescence is something difficult to describe with words. It is one of those experiences that you have to live at least once in your life. I would definitely repeat this adventure without thinking twice. I recommend this excursion to families, couples, and groups of friends who wish to enjoy nature in a unique and safe way. We did not see any bioluminescence, which although disappointing, was out of the companies control. We did have a really nice evening kayak through the mangrove channels and watched a lovely sunset. On the way back through the mangroves, it was almost completely dark and we got a near light show from the click beetles (similar to fireflies) illuminating the mangrove canopy. Our guides were also great! John, Zion, and Leo answered all our questions and made our trip really fun! I would recommend doing the 6:30pm tour, as you'll get a view of the mangrove channel while there is still sunlight as well as be able to watch the sunset before the bioluminescence becomes (hopefully) visible.

perhaps my expectations were too high. A picture shows a really cool bio illumination but we had no where near that experience. We were doomed from the start as our group included 2 dozen teens that were screaming and crashing the kayaks. Once in the lagoon, we did not see any illumination. So very disappointing. The guides did a good job but they rope all the kayaks together so it is beyond difficult to see the bio illumination. I don't recommend.

Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon, and while some nights can be incredibly bright, other nights are much more subtle depending on factors like recent rainfall, moonlight, water conditions, and microscopic organism levels. We always try to communicate that glow intensity can vary , but we understand how it can feel disappointing when it’s not as vibrant. Regarding the group dynamic, we do our best to manage all participants and keep the experience enjoyable and safe for everyone. When we temporarily rope kayaks together, it’s primarily for safety and group control in certain areas, especially when conditions or group size require it. That said, we understand how that can make viewing more challenging, and we appreciate you pointing that out. Feedback like yours helps us continue improving how we manage different group situations. We had a great night time kayak tour through the mangroves. The bioluminescent bay was not as sparkly as we expected but our guides were very knowledgeable and personable. It was a very fun experience that I would highly recommend.

Grab a pouch for your phone! You will get wet. Great Sunset photos. Guides were fabulous. Felt very safe in the Mangrove forest after dark. The Bioluminescent was great.

Frankly disappointed, I won't advise! Choose instead the kayak trip only, it will be just as well for 3x cheaper! Yes it was the disappointment because it was just a kayak trip: arrived for sunset the break time was on the wrong side (the monitor had the right view, we were all strapped in front of him) so advice take pictures of the beautiful sunset when you paddle, do not wait to be strapped... We didn’t see anything luminescent (a third of the moon had to do it) but that’s the risk we understand. We could have waited a little longer because... ...the activity lasted only 1h30 and not 2h... When I say 1h30 it is once their snack is collected and goodbye said (1 mini packet of chips + 1 bottle of water per person) Honestly it’s very expensive the outing even if the staff was very welcoming (you surprise me given the price per person)

Nous souhaitons également préciser que l’accès à la baie bioluminescente est réglementé et qu’il est uniquement permis d’y entrer dans le cadre d’une excursion guidée en kayak autorisée par le Département des Ressources Naturelles et Environnementales. Il n’existe donc pas d’option « kayak en autonomie » dans cette zone. Concernant la durée, notre excursion est annoncée comme durant environ 1h30 à 1h45, ce qui correspond au temps mentionné dans votre avis. De plus, les collations et l’eau offertes ne sont pas incluses dans le forfait, mais constituent un geste de courtoisie que nous offrons gratuitement à nos clients. Nous sommes néanmoins heureux d’apprendre que vous avez trouvé notre équipe accueillante. Notre personnel est fier d’offrir un excellent service à chaque visiteur.
