The stars here are the grounds and well. Fun to walk through downtown sintra up the hill to this Quinta. Because grounds spread out, doesn’t feel too crowded even at midday.
The overall experience was sensational. Strongly recommend it. The price was reasonable; especially because it’s a full day you can spend there. There’s so much you can do. Doesn’t have to be a full day but you can make it your own adventure. The crowd size was just perfect. And the environment very well organized. It was peaceful, fun at the same time and magical. Just like the structures. It had modern and goth mix. People working there were kinds and helpful if you had any questions. Otherwise they let you roam at your own pace. Best for families and everyone wanting a fun day.
The estate was absolutely amazing. The grounds are huge, beautifully maintained, and full of fascinating and stunning places to explore — truly a must-see. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which adds even more significance to the experience What made the experience even better was how smooth and convenient the ticket purchase process was, especially for spontaneous visits. Since tickets cannot be bought directly at the entrance due to limited entry slots and timed access, the online system works perfectly. You simply purchase a ticket through the platform (even with a small additional fee) and enter right away without waiting. It was extremely easy and stress-free, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Best palace visit we did in Portugal during our two week stay. Loved the well and the caves you got to walk through as well as the towers you could walk up and the cool places you could climb around in. I felt like a kid on a new playground exploring all the things. Wear good hiking shoes as you will get your steps in.

Great tour of this historic monument
Very cozy and comfortable place. Host was very kind and helped bring our luggage to our room, ac was also very good and easily adjustable.
The purchased tickets were valid for only 1 hour. With the crowds, the traffic, and the last stretch of road under construction that required us to walk the final part, we arrived 15 minutes after the deadline and could not participate in the activity. We do not want to be charged for that.
