The Schilthorn -Piz Gloria ticket is a great value
Our B&B host provided us with the links for the transportation tickets and reservations for brunch. His advice was to take the early morning cable cars/gondolas and get an 0800 seating to avoid the crowds. Enjoy the sumptuous brunch first at the revolving restaurant, then venture to the 007 Museum and various look-out spots. It was a beautiful, clear September day and we were able to see the top of Mount Blanc in France. One of the great features is the signage that points out the names of the mountains that we can see. The Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau were clearly visible; just a different view than from the Wengen/Grindelwald side. We were glad to book this excursion after hearing about the cost and long waits for the Jungfrau Experience in the other valley. On a side note, I left a part of me at the top when one of my walking poles fell between the slats of a fence while I was juggling them with my camera. There are several hikes from that level or from Birg, which is further down the mountain, but being non-experienced hikers, we opted just to enjoy the scenery.

Not to be Missed
If you’re in the area it’s kind of a must-do., if for no other reason than to say you did it . It’s kind of a one in a lifetime thing. The summit destination is located 2,970 metres above sea level accessed by a series of cable cars. There is a great observation deck and the very cool 360-degree revolving restaurant as well a snack counter and a nice gift shop )good place to get a souvenir). The location played a prominent role in the 1969 James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and there is also some great interactive James Bond activities included. Overall it’s not to be missed in my opinion.

Experience at this activity
Place doesn’t give much information . Tourists can get lost easily because there are no signs in English or etc...Tour is expensive and you have to pay parking fee when you leave the place, which they also didn’t say anything about that either.Other than that the place is beautiful and has amazing views

QR codes did not work
We had a brunch cable car ticket, but the QR codes did not work anywhere - the staff had to manually let us through the gate 6 times, info from there - the QR code came from an old system - not possible, since we had bought the tickets only a few days earlier on the official website. By the time we were able to board the gondola, one of us with a walking disability, it was already partially full. This is unacceptable and should be fixed immediately - especially since the problem already existed in 2025.
Otherwise, this is a recommended excursion with a great view, plenty to do - thrill walk - really great - James Bond Museum and cinema excellent - brunch buffet okay as far as it went - had a lot of guests

Great views! Fun thrill walk!
This was our second time going up to Schilthorn. It was cloudy when we visited last year, so since the ride was included with our Berner Oberland Pass, we decided to try again—and this time, the skies were perfectly clear! The views were incredible, and we absolutely loved it.
We also stopped at Birg to do the Thrill Walk, which was so much fun!

Spectacular View, Unforgettable
We walked from Lauterbrunnen and came upon the cable car for Murren at 3:42. We were told by one of the workers that it was not feasible to go up to Piz Gloria. However we got to Murren and asked, they said we would still have a decent amount of time. So we bought another ticket and kept going to Schilthorn. We were at the top by 4:20 taking photos at the 2970 m altitude sign. There were tributes to the James Bond movie, her Majesty’s Service. There were hand and fist prints of people like George Lazenby, the actor playing James Bond at the time. As it was towards end of day, there were not many people, we had a great time. We enjoyed some very nice views. Then the clouds started to roll in, looking pretty dramatic. We were lucky to get our views when we did. We did a cliff walk that included a tightrope walk and a crawl. We reached Murren again by about 5:45 and walked through the town, loved it.

Spectacular views and experiences
The ride on the steepest cable car in the world from Stechelberg to Mürren is spectacular. After two transfers, we reached the revolving restaurant, where we could enjoy a great brunch at the buffet. The beautiful panorama with Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau passed by us. The food was plentiful and beautifully presented, and the staff was very friendly.
On the way back, a stop at the intermediate station Birg is worthwhile, where the "Thrill Walk" was built into the vertical rock face - very worthwhile.
For those who have not had enough, or who have stayed in the beautiful town of Mürren, they can visit the Trümmelbach Falls down in the valley - also very worth seeing.

The trip of my dreams
Ever since I first watched On Her Majesty's Secret Service I have wanted to take the cable cars up to the Schilthorn. I cannot tell you how incredible it was to finally do it. The three cars up from Stechelberg offer an exhilarating ride. The Stechelberg Murren leg is genuinely thrilling and the Brig Schilthorn leg is dramatic as you approach the Piz Gloria summit. Once at the top, the panoramic views are out of this world. There is so much to do at the top. The hall of fame walk is not for the faint hearted but I really enjoyed it. The Bond exhibition is a lot of fun. The revolving restaurant was an unforgettable experience. We also found the staff in the shop and restaurant very friendly.

Worth the money and time!
It wasn't cheap, but it was worth it -- much better than Jungfraujach. Make a reservation at the 360 restaurant far in advance! Plan to spend a few hours here and then walk around Murren on your way back down. You need to book cable car tickets in addition to a ticket for the top of Schilthorn. It's a little confusing but you can figure it out with a bit of research.

What a thrill!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our gondola ride to the Schilthorn. The day we were there it was cloudy so we couldn’t see anything from the top but had better views from Birg where we did the exciting Thrill Walk. Murren was a nice little town to visit with amazing views of the mountains & area from there. After visiting Murren we walked down a nice windy trail to Gimmelwald which is a unique town to see. Overall our ride up & down was excellent & highly recommended.
