Descendant de 70 pieds dans les fondations rocheuses du World Trade Center, le 9/11 Museum s’étend sur 110 000 pieds carrés de galerie. Les visiteurs pénètrent après deux « Tridents » en acier de 80 pieds avant de descendre le long des « Escaliers des Survivants » – la dernière voie d'évasion pour des centaines de personnes – et du mur de boue massif. This was my 3rd visit and my husband’s second. My first visit was not long after the museum had opened but we both visited in 2024; unfortunately, the tour we took then spent so much time outside, we hardly saw anything in the museum and we wanted to put that right this visit. We didn’t join a tour but decided to see the museum at our own pace. It is a really excellent museum and a fitting tribute to those who lost their lives or were impacted by the events of 9/11. It really is an incredible museum. The museum blends architecture, archaeology and both historical and personal records to tell the history of the 9/11 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing at the site where the Twin Towers once stood. The museum is located within the original foundations of the Twin Towers and the space preserves the "Last Column" (the final piece of steel removed from Ground Zero), the Survivors' Stairs and the blue tiled wall, all of which are significant reminders but one exhibit in particular stopped me in my tracks and that was the damaged FDNY Ladder Company 3 fire truck. Heart breaking. The museum is a place to take your time, read the information and understand the stories behind the exhibits. It is mentally, emotionally and physically draining but we believe it is must see for anyone visiting NYC.
The Memorial Museum was a great experience. I suggest you attend the movie options that are included in your ticket. They gave a perspective on the attacks of the towers and how the city of New York got involved to help their fellow people. The museum gave a great perspective of what happened on 9/11. This is a can't miss attraction.
Yes, everyone should experience this history that has grown this country closer together. The memories of those who lost their lives. Will live on within each one of us forever.
Very heartbreaking and it brought me back to that day. My son who wasn’t born yet got see what we all saw that day.
Had a great experience at the 9/11 Memorial.... So much to see and understand away from general media. Tickets and entry through Viator were excellent, providing a smooth and seamless entry.
This was a moving experience for us all. Tastefully presented pieces. Would highly recommend visiting.
Buy tickets online before you go so you dont have to wait in long line. We didn’t do this until we got there and saw the line. I got on my phone and ordered and walked passed all the people in line for tickets. Take the tour with guide option. We were in a group of about 20 and the guide was very passionate and knowledgeable.
We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the North and South Tower pools and the 9-11 Museum. It was a bittersweet experience. Having watched the tragedy of that day on TV, it was very surreal for me and very educating fir my 20 yr old daughter.
Very nice memorial as a tribute to so many innocent people who died on 9/11 , multiple auditoriums showing short films ! Definitely recommend to remember the history!
A very moving and intense history of 9/11. As a history nerd, I found it fascinating and informative. Leave 3-4 hours for the visit.
