We only booked tickets with them and paid €100 rather than €39 for 2 people. Overpriced reseller/tour operator charging a 156% markup just to print the tickets. They buy large batches of tickets in advance, so none are left on the official website and visitors are forced to purchase through them if they still want to go — in our case, to the Borghese Gallery (but also the Museum is to blame as they should not allow). The tour operator told us to download the app with descriptions of the artworks, but the numbering was incorrect, many pieces weren’t included, and we ended up using the official QR codes inside the museum instead.
Our guide, Dimitri, was very knowledgeable about the art history of the sculptures, paintings and decoration of the gallery itself. His appreciation of the works was passionate and added to the experience. A first class tour!
Beautiful tour, the works very well exposed and preserved. Guid knowing the subject, although the group has people from several countries the guide managed to speak more spaciously to transmit to everyone. We should also remember the gardens and the surrounding very beautiful Palace.a
Our guide was superb her knowledge was exceptional and she clearly had a passion for art. There was plenty of room for everyone to walk around and photos were aloud everywhere. This is a must on a visit to Rome we have been twice and would go again way better than the Vatican City.
The gallery is definitely worth visiting because of its collections. Guests should reserve their tickets early if they plan to visit.
We went at 5pm and didn’t quite get 2 hours. Guide was very knowledgeable but a little repetitive. We did not get to see a lot of the paintings, but did see the wonderful statues. I think we would have enjoyed it more if guide had spent a few minutes LESS in some of the rooms. We were rushed out of the last room at 6:50 closing time, so that was a little disappointing.
I was unsure if the tour would be legit because the day of the tour I received a whatsapp message from a tour company with a different name than the one I booked through TripAdvisor. However, everything worked out in the end and the tour guide was EXCELLENT. Very knowledgable and friendly, and he spoke perfect English. I do think TripAdvisor should clarify which company will actually be leading the tour, as that aspect was confusing.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the subject and was able to keep the group together and moving along appropriately. It was our first experience with a group of this size so I was surprised that there were no opportunities to ask questions. It was also the last tour of the day so he was definitely under some pressure to keep moving in order to cover as much of the vast amount of art as he could. Generally he was well prepared and did a great job.
It was the best experience of the trip to Rome! The admission with the tour was very expensive, but it was worth it! Definitely book with a guide.
What a beautiful collection. Absolutely amazing sculptures and fantastic tour guide, Victoria. She was so informative.
