It was a cool museum to see some of banksys iconic work. It wasn’t too crowded and they had some set ups to show how the art was displayed in real life
A very interesting collection. the museum is spacious, well decorated giving the impression of being where the murals were painted.
What a pleasant surprise! We loved it. It is very well set up, there is a lot of work, and even though they are reproductions, they are spectacular. It is very enjoyable, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!
The exhibition venue is unexpected but in line with this artist. The visit was not a priority for me. I did not regret a single moment of going there. For those who love this evocative artist, do not miss this visit (subway station AMBAJADORES)
I knew the artist, but I was impressed; the surroundings really match what the artist is about.
My wife and I enjoyed this tour and want to go back! The only challenge was there was so much to see. Our guide was Nina. She is bilingual so my poor Spanish was no problem. She knew so much about Banksy and their work. I was impressed. After the tour we were welcomed to stay as long as we would like to spend more time looking at something that was not highlighted or to ponder our favorites.
It is a very interesting museum. Although Banksy's art is not meant to be caged in a museum, it is true that the layout of the rooms and the additional information help you contextualize his work. I also recommend the guided tour to get more out of the experience, as it brings you closer to the figure of Banksy. Moreover, the guide does a great job, and after the tour, you can continue exploring the museum at your own pace.
We missed seeing some works made by the artist himself. It is fine to use their templates and recreate the spaces, which were quite well done. But as a Bansky museum, we would have liked to appreciate something original. On the other hand, the guide was very nice, we missed more explanations about the works and the entire visit. Thank you.
Highly recommend- interesting
Hello ! Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We really hope to see you again soon !
After three stops in Portugal and four days for a family wedding in Sevilla, we had no real expectations for Madrid other than "as long as we have to fly out of there anyway...". Wow! MADRID IS FANTASTIC! And the Banksy Museum was great - and a nice break from the heat. We walked through at a leisurely pace, not too busy on an early Thursday afternoon. Some of the art is hilarious, others moving and thought provoking.
