The rooms air con wasn’t functioning, we booked with family and requested rooms next to each other which wasn’t given, we were told we could use the pool before check out but the pool was closed even after checking with reception, the animal viewing area was closed and the safari’s ride was really bad as it last 2 mins with a very rubbish view of the animals. Also there was no access to the hotel during the day as they closed all the gates and said you would have to exit the park to walk round the outside to the hotel meaning you would have to leave the park early for dinner. This was not a good experience and the staff were not very responsive to anything. We also had a number of rides break down which would have been understood the staff notified the people in the queue rather that just leaving everyone standing there once they walked off with no explanation

Visited last Thursday, hoping park would be quieter during the week, definitely wasn’t. Arrived at 10:30, all rides in Paw Patrol world were already in between 45-60 minutes. The zone itself was set out well, but was the area is tiny. I thought there wasn’t enough signs to help us navigate the park efficiently. All other rides also had a long wait. Not enough shelters on rides when queuing in hot weather. We ate at the restaurant opposite the Grufalo ride, over £60 for 2 adult meals and a kids meal. Chips that tasted like cardboard and burgers weren’t special (McDonald’s is better). My child actually asked to leave within an hour, but we stayed hoping it would get better, but never did. Stayed there for the whole day and ended up only getting on 4 rides.

It was a lovely day, but when three big rides close while you are in the queue, it’s rather disappointing. Especially for the children.

Positives: - Ride access pass is easy to use and the staff are great at ensuring you don't wait too long! - Paw Patrol world is great for young children. - There was a young man being trained on Skyes helicopter ride (03/07/26) and both he and the guy teaching him were great and good at interacting with the kids! - place is tidy and clean - staff very visible and friendly. Always on hand to help! Staff were providing lots of interesting facts about the gorillas! Cons: - parking can be a nightmare! Should have some kind of signs before people turn into the main one to avoid build up and the roads in the overflow ones are full of sharp stones etc! - the only one other unfortunate negative was that our daughters 4th birthday giraffe feeding experience was cancelled the day before we were due to do it. Understandable when animal welfare is concerned but she was unable to do any other experience due to age restrictions. Would've been nice if we could have rebooked another date and been compensated in some way. Though again, it's nice to know the animals welfare is the top priority. Also, the refund was issued very quickly!

It was very fun the rides were enjoyable and exiting but the food wasn’t that great for the price the food tasted like it was just frozen £3 pizzas I could have made myself and I paid £81 for a family of four for pizza and it was just not that good for the price also even though I paid that much for some all you can pizza that tasted like it was from a freezer out of farmfoods I would still have to pay extra money in there for a fizzy drink and could only have watered down apple juice and watered down orange juice and water with cups that are made for a 2 year old that just started drinking out of cups and the rides kept breaking down which is unsafe but besides all the bad the rides were fun and it’s a good day out but I suggest eating before you go and then eating after you go there because I can get a family of 7 a better pizza for cheaper outside of chessington to be honest

We just got back from a family trip for my son’s sixth birthday. Our 3-year-old was also in tow and we spent one night in the safari hotel and 2 days in the park. The headline is - we had a fantastic time, but it was exhausting! You really have to know what you’re getting into at a place like this. The queues will be long, the food will be overpriced and there will be grumpy families with buggies everywhere. If you’re prepared to deal with that, then you can have a lovely time with a bit of preparation. Firstly, on the Safari hotel We thought it was really clean and not overly crowded or chaotic - especially compared with the legoland hotel. We had a view of the savannah on our room , which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was a straightforward buffet of decent quality with enough options for everyone. Coffee was poor as I suspect they want addled parents to shell out for a Costa in the park. Make sure you read all the information they provide about. Poking breakfast and checking in early. I agree with another review that the reception staff don’t really know anything, so come prepared. A great perk of staying at the hotel is early entry to the park. This is how we managed to go on 3 paw patrol rides and the gruffalo ride with very short waits. In my opinion, this perk is not sufficiently advertised and poorly operationalised (they were asking people to show proof of staying at the hotel at the gate; it was not linked to entry tickets in any way!) Still a great advantage! And now for the park Really fun park that is quite compact and easy to get around quickly. Almost all the staff were really friendly young people trying to do a good job. (Be gracious to them - they’re working hard!) Most of the rides were really good fun, although Jungle Rangers was pretty pointless and Tomb blasters is unnecessarily scary. We had two rides stop operating while we were waiting and I don’t think this situation is handled well at all. No information or indication about how long it will take to reopen. Of course the queues are long, and the number of people using fast passes makes some of the queues move really slowly. This could do with better management. For a break from the rides, the aquarium is surprisingly good, as is the amazu climbing area. A few other thoughts: The park app is an excellent tool There are plenty of toilets around the park which is a huge plus Hot weather preparedness could be improved. Specifically, queues should be more shaded and there should be far far more water bottle refill stations. It’s disgraceful to have so many machines selling coke and only 2 water fountains that aren’t even marked on the map. A few other thoughts: The park app is an excellent

I just don't get it. Right so first things first, the park is looking tired, and I mean very tired with the exception of the new Paw Patrol but, now while great care and detail has gone into it, it's just a bit Meh. Marshalls Fire Rescue is a ride which has been at every theme park for about 50 years, the same with Skys helicopter. The coaster is good but very short and I mean very short, and Zumbas hovercraft th ing is the same as any fairground ride with a modern twist, but we queued three times and it broke three times. No apology or anything. Now talking of queuing. The Mini Rafters ride. There was a lady who was operating the ride who made Miss Trunchball look like Miss Honey, now in all for mentioning safety messages but she was telling everybody off for everything. My son got told off as he was tapping his hands on the box she sits along with the beat of the music ,there was also someone's told off for not having her bag off. The second time I went in it with my kids I decided to count in the 40 mins we were in the queue how many messages and telling off she gave. It was 74. It was way OTT. Food is a rip off, zoo is awful. Place on the whole needs to be rebuilt and started again. It's no cheap and it should be much better, by the way if anyone else hears or has heard this member of staff on the Mini Rafters log ride, I'd love to know.

So took our daughter for her 4th birthday, as she loves paw patrol. Queue getting in to the park on a weekday was ridiculous, the park was so busy for a schoolday. Lots and lots of school trips, the park should not be permitting this many school trips at once, its ridiculous. Queued for skye helicopter ride for an hour, queue was not shaded, and when you are standing with kids its not right. No shade at all in the paw patrol area, which is too small in general and not at all catered for lots of little children. We managed to get on 2 rides in the whole day, that and room on the broom. The room on the broom walk through is great but we were at the back of a group and the people in front were taking ages to walk through that we missed all the effects and the story being read. Park maps are utterly useless and they want you to use the app for a map, which if I've paid a lot of money for a ticket I dont want to use my data get round the park. The app gives you fast pass for extra money, nearly £20+ for 3 people to go on the grufflo, disgusting to expect people to pay that. The food and drink is extortionate, a bottle of fanta for £3.10 is not right a tiny paw patrol doughnut for £4.50. This park is just about squeezing as much money from you as possible. Loads of open space where they could have put some more picnic benches, but chose to squish them all near the food shops, to force you to buy overpriced food. The signs around the park are useless and dont show where anything is. Im against zoos anyway, but we passed the penguin enclosure, which looked sad and upsetting. The zoo needs to go! Generally a disappointing day out. I am a neurodivergant adult, adhd and autism and I found the layout and the way it was run extremely stressful, so if you have neurodivergent children I would ere on the side of caution as the park as a whole does not seem neurodivergent friendly whatsoever. The park needs updating and seem sad and lazy. Any dealings with the staff were ok, I wouldnt want to run down the staff as im sure they are not paid well enough for this atrocity.

Very nice place for family My kids had a great time and the staff were very friendly special thank to Bella she was very kind and helpful definitely will do it again I recommend to stay in Jumangi theme room it’s fabulous

Chessington is my most favourite theme park in the world I did Zuma’s ride today it was amazing (I have not been on the other 3 but hope there good) my favourite ride is Tomb Blaster Thank you for a thrilling experience
