An absolute must see!! We drove to the meeting point. Our tickets were ready for us and we simply walked through with our guide. He was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to answer all our questions.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that everything was ready upon your arrival and that your guide made your visit to Knossos so enjoyable. Sharing the fascinating stories of the Minoan civilization and answering our guests’ questions is what we love most. Thank you for choosing our Knossos guided tour, and we hope to welcome you back to Crete for another unforgettable experience!
Very knowledgeable and pleasant your guide. Nice size group (8). xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thank you so much, Bob! We’re delighted you enjoyed the Labyrinth of Knossos skip-the-line tour. A knowledgeable, pleasant guide and a comfortable small group make the Minoan Palace experience truly special. We appreciate your kind review!
The tour guide was very knowlegdable and could speak multiple languages. Her archeological knowledge gave us a great in depth background of the Minoan culture and Knossus marketplace. It was nice to finally get true skip the line tickets.
Dear Brian_R, thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Knossos tour and that your guide’s knowledge helped bring the Minoan civilization and the ancient marketplace to life. Knossos is a truly fascinating site, and having the right historical context makes the experience even more meaningful. We are also very happy that the skip-the-line tickets made your visit smoother and more comfortable. Thank you again for choosing us. We would be delighted to welcome you back to Crete for another guided experience in the future.
A guide here seems really needed as there’s little information for self-guided visits. We had a great guide but she gave our whole group a choice of queueing to get into the throne room or hearing her talk about the myths and I was disappointed by the collective choice (but I guess that’s the luck of the draw). It would be nice if a tour could specify that you will get to see the throne room and not just pictures of it.
Dear Cait, thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are very pleased to read that you found a guide truly valuable for visiting Knossos, as the site can be difficult to fully understand without proper interpretation. We are also glad that you enjoyed your guide and the historical context provided during the tour. Regarding the Throne Room, we completely understand your disappointment. Access to this area can sometimes be affected by queues, crowd flow, and time restrictions on site, especially during busy periods. Our guides always try to balance the group’s wishes with the overall experience and the scheduled duration of the tour, but we appreciate your comment and will take it into serious consideration for future guidance and guest expectations. Knossos is a fascinating but very popular archaeological site, and your feedback helps us improve the way we communicate what can be guaranteed and what may depend on daily conditions. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back to Crete for another experience in the future.
Great information, transforms you back in time sort of. Knowledgeable guide. Well organized. Would recommend

Definitely worth having a tour guide at this sight. Our guide was wonderful - super knowledgeable about every part of the ruins. It was crowded so having skip the line tickets was great.
Dear Jen, Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Knossos and found the skip-the-line access helpful on a busy day. It’s great to know your guide’s knowledge enhanced your experience of the ruins. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and hope to welcome you back for more explorations in Crete! Best regards, Travel Crete – WeGuide Travelers
Everything was super well communicated, easy to find, and well coordinated for our family of 7. In addition, our guide was very knowledgeable, gave us a ton of backstory and history on the ruins, and was also mindful to help us avoid the main pack of people while keeping us in the shade. If you are into history and want to learn more about Knossos, ancient civilization, and the overall area of Crete, Greece, and the Mediterranean then I’d highly recommend!
Here’s a professional and warm reply you can post in response to the Tripadvisor review: Dear rjacoy, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind review! We’re delighted to hear that you and your family had such a smooth and enriching experience exploring the Labyrinth of Knossos with us. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we’re truly grateful you chose to explore Crete’s rich cultural heritage with WeGuide. Wishing you many more inspiring travels ahead — and we hope to welcome you back to Crete someday! Warm regards, The Travel Crete – WeGuide Travelers Team
We visited the maze of Knossos and were a bit divided overall. On the one hand, it is of course exciting to stand in a place with so much history – the excavations and reconstructed parts give an impression of Minoan culture. Those interested in history will get their money's worth. Allerdings: The entrance fee of €20 per person is, in our opinion, significantly overpriced for what is offered – especially considering that many areas are now only foundation walls, some are not allowed to enter (on side roads) and the information boards are sometimes quite scarce. Important tip: Best to come early in the morning! The large free parking next door is quickly full, and if you arrive later, there is a threat of traffic chaos. Many cars then park in the bus lanes or in the second row – this becomes confusing and stressful. Conclusion: Interesting place with historical value, but too expensive and organizationally not optimally regulated.
I didn't get to use the tickets because it wasn't the right barcode and had to buy new ones! Lots of traffic and no parking enough!
Dear Pascale, Thank you for your feedback, though we were surprised to read your review. According to our records, you never checked in or participated in our tour. It appears your issue may have involved a third-party provider or ticketing platform unrelated to our services. We take pride in offering professional, well-organized experiences, and we would have gladly assisted you had you contacted us directly. We encourage all guests to verify meeting points and contact us in advance if they encounter any issues, so we can provide immediate support. Kind regards,
It was a wonderful tour. We learned so much. Katerina, our guide, was very knowledgeable and personable. Though somewhat crowded, she managed to effectively navigate the ruins while delightfully weaving the story of Minoan civilization in Crete.
Dear AnneMarie, Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and that Katerina made your visit both informative and enjoyable. Her ability to guide guests through the site—even during busy times—while bringing the Minoan world to life is something we truly value. We hope to welcome you back to Crete for more memorable experiences! Warm regards, The WeGuide Team
