This tour was perfect for the hot afternoons of Italy as you travel underground to see former aquaducts turned air-raid shelters during WWII. It does involve a LOT of stairs and the tour group was huge. It was difficult to hear the tour guide as there were no audio sets offered for during the tour and our guide skipped over any questions that were asked during the tour. Thravelling through the narrow passegeways of the aqueducts was optional if you are claustrophobic. You also go see the remnants of a Roman theater that was discovered underneath modern apartments--which was a surprise.
Very interesting and well worth the money. Be aware the group size can more than 40 and I think there are too many tours going at the same time. Having said that, I would recommend this tour
This was an excellent tour and one of the highlights of our trip to Naples. Our guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining, making the experience informative and enjoyable from start to finish. We chose the full experience, including the very narrow underground water tunnel, which was exciting and added a real sense of adventure to the tour. If you're visiting Naples, we would definitely recommend adding this tour to your itinerary. It's a fascinating way to learn about the city's history and see a completely different side of Naples.
Very educational and interesting. The negative reviews here are overstated. Yes, if you are morbidly obese or 6'8" or taller, you probably should not do this. Guide was very knowledgeable and communicated very well.
The experience was worth it, but somethings were not as good as I would have expected. - We had to wait in line even though we booked a ticket without „waiting queue“. - The tour guide looked kind of „fed up“ with the tour repetition. Questions were also answered with „Maybe“ or „Not sure“.
So interesting to know how far the tunnels go and all their uses! It’s a must do tour whilst in Naples
How exciting to go to an under ground city?!? We, this isn’t it unfortunately. Seriously over priced for what it is, but that is what we call a tourist trap! This seriously isn’t exciting and I would give it a miss and maybe enjoy Pizza and babba’s instead.
Short tour of the underground but very informative. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience enjoyable! Entry was very confusing as there was no clear lines for people who had pre booked tickets and those who were paying at the time or to split into language groups but otherwise would recommend.
Very cool to see the underground water system and survival of war. Expected to see more than tunnels. Was hoping to see more of city ruins.
Beautiful experience, very interesting and evocative path, the online booking allowed us to avoid long lines under the sun Raffaella
