We happened to visit this museum that day. Incredible luck, the dance show started at noon when we arrived. Incredible! What an emotion! Two singers, one guitarist, and three dancers. They are true professionals. It was absolutely magical.
We went to this one and the one in the cave in Granada. This one is way better. The music, acting, facial expressions, movements... 10/10
Fascinating, dynamic performance up close - we really enjoyed it!
AMAZING FOR BOTH! My daughter does a lot of Flamenco dancing in England and whilst we were in Seville, a visit to the museum was a "must". It is a really well laid out museum, full of character, feels like the essence of Flamenco is all around you. My daughter understood a lot more than I did, abut the things like different techniques, which are explained, but I was totally mesmerised by the whole experience, could have spent hours in there, except we had to stop our viewing, to join the queue for the show at 5pm. Suggest you arrive early, as the queue soon builds up, and seating is on a "first come, first choice" basis, though I don't think any of the seats are in a bad position, but the nearer the front you want to be, would mean getting in early. [Admission is half an hour before the performance, but the queue starts well before that]. The show is superb, really outstanding dancers, who "give it their all" and are amazing. The hour went far too quickly, I could have watched them for ages. There is a bar selling all types of drinks and toilets adjacent, but I didn't see any food. Not the easiest of venues to find and taxis can't gain access to the road outside, but do try to drop you nearby. Highly recommend. We saw 3 shows in the 4 days we spent in Seville, and personally I felt this was the best. In fact, DO NOT MISS BOTH THE MUSEUM AND SHOW IF YOU'RE STAYING IN SEVILLE.
Professional show, exciting ,very entertaining, thoroughly enjoyed it Only criticism is Seats not too comfortable and squashed together , I had to move to the end of the row to avoid feeling hemmed in The museum was not what I had expected and I didnt find it easy to hear or see tge videos , it was very dark
This was an excellent experience. The artists are so talented and amazing. Not seen anything like this before. Definitely worth it!
An intense experience. It's magical and spellbinding. Music, voices, dancers, postures, colors. Not to be missed.
Interesting museum for those interested in flamenco. The flamenco show is beautiful, with very experienced dancers. Worth every euro charged!!
We visited the museum almost two hours before the show at 5 p.m. and especially through short dance videos we got a good insight into the different patterns of flamenco for movements of the legs, body, arms, etc., for the different emotions the dance expresses, for the use of fans, cassette nets, hats, dresses etc. There was also an overview of various flamenco schools in the museum. On the second floor there was a small exhibition of art and in the basement, among other things, a crypt where there are also performances. The performance in the ground floor patio was with three dancers (two men and one woman), two female singers and a male guitarist. The program lasted an hour and alternated between guitar play, songs and especially a lot of dance, solo, two and two or all three. The different movement patterns and emotions came out clearly and the use of various props did as well. It was possible to enjoy a glass of wine or a beer mm during the show. Recommended.
Great dancers; especially the guitarist was fantastic. Just one big BUT: the sound was set far too loud - that is not necessary in such a beautiful intimate hall and unfortunately limited the enjoyment.
