Great way to see the city. Every 20 minutes from 10am - 5pm. Some of the upstairs ceilings are very low so watch your head! Takes about 2 hours to go once around. Does all the major sights.

Very hot on bus with temporary tarpaulin roof on because of heatwave but only way to see Budapest at moment because of heat!! Watch your head when going upstairs as myself, and others, banged it frequently against steel bars holding tarpaulin roof! Commentary ok. Well done to the drivers and staff in this heat!!!

Left on bus 20 minutes in 40 degree heat without notification- guide did not care when asked
This is the worst HOHO we’ve done! We booked the bus & boat combo. The commentary just mentioned building after building with no interesting facts. Worst of all they didn’t tell us when we were stopping and what stops we were at, so everyone just looked at each other and stayed on the bus. We had no idea where to catch the boat as it’s not near any of the stops. Do not do this tour.
I’m usually a huge fan of these tours but this one in Budapest was poor. It was the day after the Grand Prix weekend and was exceptionally busy but some of the points I’m about to make aren’t relevant to that. The upstairs decks had a cover on and virtually every adult who got on or off hit their heads on either the metal frame or the buckle strap holding the canvas roof on. To sit downstairs was awful as it was just so hot and the engine heat compounded this. The buses we used were noisy and the commentary on the maximum volume was barely audible. Many of the audio’s didn’t work and as the bus was always full there was no option to change seats. The audio sometimes just stopped and then restarted in a different place. Sometimes the commentary didn’t fit with the actual location of the bus. I was amazed that at no point near the Parliament building was there any reference to the Shoes Holocaust memorial, The commentary did say that visitors to the New York Cafe could get a postcard and after writing and addressing it that the cafe would post it anywhere in the world. This isn’t true and apparently hasn’t been true for many years. Overall this was disappointing!
Great sightseeing bus, good commentary ,be aware of low roof upstairs when roof is on as I banged my head

Spent £150 for a family day to spend all of the journey stood up and not seeing any thing., waiting ages for the bus. Hop on hop off should actually mean hop off wait an eternity for the next bus to stand up again. DO NOT BOTHER IN BUSY TIMES. Book a taxi.
Be early as bus get really packed. Some stops people couldn't get on. Great way of seeing Budapest. I used bus two days in a row.
Don't bother using this service, spend a little extra and go for one of the private tours which are better value for money, especially if you are a family or a group travelling together. I experienced rude ticket sellers Over crowded buses Plastic hard seats that fit no one The top floor had a plastic awning in case of rain if you were unfortunate to sit under it, the awning skimmed the top of your head and slammed back and forth every time the bus breaked or took off. Many disappointed customers at each stop as the buses were overcrowded and few and far between
