Bluff Lake est un secret caché de Big Bear. C'est l'une des plus belles régions de Big Bear Lake. Tant de gens qui sont des habitants de Big Bear ne savent même pas que c'est ici, caché à trois miles sur un chemin de terre isolé ! Voyager vers ce lac sauvage caché avec un guide local est un excellent moyen de découvrir certaines des plus belles zones de randonnée les plus secrètes de Big Bear Lake. Je vais prendre votre groupe dans ma Jeep et conduire votre groupe sur la route forestière, en vous parlant des plantes que nous voyons le long du chemin et de l'histoire intéressante de la vallée de Big Bear. Une fois que nous aurons atteint la réserve de Bluff Lake, nous ferons l'une des randonnées les plus pittoresques de Big Bear Lake. Cette randonnée est adaptée aux poussettes pour ceux qui souhaitent apporter une poussette pour les jeunes enfants.

Bluff Lake est un secret caché de Big Bear. Certains habitants qui vivent à Big Bear depuis 15 ans ne savent même pas que c'est ici! C'est de loin l'endroit le plus magnifique de Big Bear pour passer une matinée dans la nature.
Une matinée à Bluff Lake est la meilleure façon de passer une journée à Big Bear, quelle que soit la saison! Notre visite commence par un trajet jusqu'à la réserve de Bluff Lake dans mon SUV. Du printemps à l'automne, je conduis les randonneurs à des excursions partout dans le lac Bluff, la partie supérieure de Castle Rock et Skyline Trail. La version facile de cette randonnée consiste en une randonnée d'environ deux milles sur un terrain principalement plat, sans grand gain d'altitude. C'est une excellente randonnée pour les enfants. Nous pouvons même nous arrêter sur la randonnée et je vais enseigner un peu aux enfants sur nos papillons locaux et leur apprendre la meilleure technique pour photographier les papillons. Nous marcherons jusqu'à notre Champion Lodgepole Pine; Quel est l'arbre le plus ancien et le plus grand de notre forêt nationale. Si vous souhaitez faire la randonnée modérée vers le haut de Castle Rock (Castle Rock est le sentier le plus populaire de la vallée de Big Bear), cette randonnée est disponible au même prix. Les habitants des États-Unis préfèrent emprunter un sentier moins fréquenté partant du sommet près du lac Bluff jusqu'à Castle Rock. C'est plus joli et pas une randonnée bondée. Cette randonnée a beaucoup plus de gain d'altitude et dure environ 4 miles aller-retour.

We had an amazing time on our Jeep tour and hike to Bluff Lake Preserve! Amber was super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She shared great fun facts and taught us so much about the local Lodgepole pines and beautiful wildflowers. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and are already looking forward to our next tour with her. Highly recommend!
The hike was amazing. Amber was very informative describing the landscape , plants and history. Definitely a must see , Bluff Lake and the hike was very invigorating and inspiring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Amber. She obviously knows and loves this area very well and it shows. We had a wonderful time learning about the history of Holcomb Valley and the many types of plants and flowers.
We got to see a part of Big Bear that we never even knew existed. Absolutely beautiful locale and our guide, Amber, was full of information and really made the experience all the more memorable. The tour we originally booked was unavailable due to forest service closures, and Amber graciously offered to refund us, but also offered two other tours. We switched to the Eye of God tour, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely be back to enjoy another tour with Amber.
We had a wonderful morning with Amber! She gave great directions for meeting with us, and she catered the hike to our preferences and the ages of people in our group! Amber knows a lot about the area, including the history, plants, and animals. She made it a great experience for all of us, and we will definitely go on a hike with her in the future!
We did the hike to Bluff Lake over the July 4th weekend and it was so worth it! First, Amber is so knowledgable about the trails, flora, and fauna. She shared so much information and history of the area as we did the hike, which we really appreciated. It really enriched and enhanced the whole experience for us. Second, she was really great with our two kids (10 and 13). I could tell my kids enjoyed the experience because my 10 year old was very chatty and asked many questions. Amber happily obliged, answered my kids' questions, and actively engaged in conversation with both of my kids. And the off rode drive up and back was a highlight for us too. Overall, this was a great adventure for our family. The hike itself is perfect for families (its not too strenuous) and it was really beautiful. The hike ended with some refreshing lemonade which Amber made and really hit the spot on a hot day. I highly recommend this tour with Amber.
