We had a great city tour with Tour Guide Julio Rosas and Driver Andre. The itinerary was quite unique and very good for us to get a quick overview of the city’s landscape, history and the people. Julio seemed to know everyone, greeting and talking with locals. We felt very safe and comfortable with him in the city. The cable car ride through the city and into Duran was very beautiful too.
Andre and Julio were absolutely fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of your beautiful city. Thanks and we hope to be back again to visit soon!
My wife and I just finished the Highlights tour with Francisco as guide and Andre as driver. 100% satisfied! We’ve had hundreds of guides over our lives all over the world. Francisco is one of the best. Protrip really feels run by pros. Francisco customized to our interests, adjusted to our pace, and provided as much as we wanted from his deep local knowledge of history, culture, nature, politics, food and people. It was great to see the highlights of the city. Even better was spending time with such a friendly and interested guide. We’ll definitely book with Protrip again.
My husband and I had a fabulous tour with Francisco and Andre of Protrip today. Francisco was our guide, and Andre our driver for the Highlights of Guayaquil tour, which we booked through Viatour. Francisco was so generous with his knowledge and time, sharing with us his passion and love for his city, and going above and beyond to cater to our specific interests. We happen to love birds, and we saw many new ones just within the city parks! He also took time to help us understand aspects of the culture and current politics that we otherwise would not have understood. We are so grateful for this wonderful experience!

Everything spectacular, Don Julio is an excellent person and he knows the city and the most beautiful places in Guayaquil, 10000% recommended
What a wonderful way to see the city. Julio Rosas was my guide for the day and he couldn’t have done any more to make the day memorable. Truly passionate, friendly and knowledgeable. Saw so much in such a short time. Definitely a recommendation if you’re here for a day or two before heading to the Galapagos.
Francisco was absolutely amazing! He was knowledgeable, personable, and full of positive energy from start to finish. He made us feel comfortable the entire time, always put our safety first, and treated us like VIPs. Everything was handled professionally, and he made the whole experience smooth, fun, and stress-free. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about his guests and goes above and beyond, Francisco is the man. I highly recommend him, and I would definitely book with him again. Thank you for an unforgettable experience, Francisco!
My son (12) and I did this private tour and loved it. Francisco was a fantastic guide — knowledgeable, friendly, and great with kids, keeping things engaging for my son while sharing rich history with me. We covered a lot: the colorful Las Peñas stairway up Santa Ana hill, the Malecón waterfront, the Rotonda monument, an up-close encounter with the park’s iguanas, a scenic Aerovía cable car ride over the river, and a gorgeous hilltop view of the city. Being private meant we could go at our own pace and ask lots of questions. We also felt very safe throughout the tour — Francisco knew the city well and made sure we always felt comfortable. Our driver was also great — safe, punctual, and smooth throughout. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a personalized way to see Guayaquil’s history and views. Thanks, Francisco, for a memorable day!
The tour of Guayaquil with Julio Rosas & Andre was fantastic! Julio was a true Guayaco and did a wonderful job helping us experience Guayaquil culture. We got to see many of the top tourist sites all over the city while staying within the tour time. I will note that we didn’t get a chance to climb las Peñas up to the lighthouse, which I was a little disappointed about, but all in all even as a native to Guayaquil I really enjoyed this experience and would definitely recommend it!
