Besalú, le lac de Banyoles et les volcans de la Garrotxa : excursion en petit groupe au départ de Gérone
Description
Si vous êtes des amoureux de la nature et que vous aimez découvrir de nouveaux horizons, c'est l'option qu'il vous faut !! Au cours de cette excursion d'une journée, vous découvrirez différents sites : tout d'abord, un lieu chargé d'histoire où notre guide vous présentera le patrimoine médiéval et juif de Besalú, puis, dans la seconde partie de la journée, vous profiterez de la nature du parc naturel de La Garrotxa, situé dans les Pré-Pyrénées, qui compte plus de 40 volcans, tous éteints depuis des milliers d'années. Vous pourrez le constater de vos propres yeux en visitant un ermitage médiéval situé au cœur du cratère de l'un d'entre eux. Vous visiterez également Castellfollit de la Roca pour prendre quelques photos de la falaise basaltique, ainsi que Santa Pau, un petit village entouré de volcans. Pour terminer cette journée exceptionnelle, vous aurez l'occasion de vous promener ou de faire un tour en bateau sur le lac de Banyoles, le plus grand lac de Catalogne. Nous serons de retour à Gérone vers 17 h / 17 h 30, selon le trafic.

Itinéraire
Vous participerez à une visite guidée à pied des quartiers médiéval et juif de Besalú. Vous découvrirez également l'un des plus beaux ponts médiévaux d'Espagne.
Nous ferons une petite pause de quelques minutes pour prendre quelques photos des maisons situées au sommet de cette impressionnante falaise basaltique.
Vous participerez à une promenade guidée pour rejoindre l'église Santa Margarida, située à l'intérieur du cratère du volcan Santa Margarida.
Vous aurez le temps de déjeuner au restaurant Can Xel pour déguster les spécialités de la région.
Santa Pau est un petit village médiéval niché au cœur de la région des volcans. Vous ferez une visite guidée à pied pour découvrir le vieux quartier, l'église et le château.
C'est le moment de faire une balade au bord du lac de Banyoles, le plus grand lac de Catalogne. Mais si vous préférez ne pas marcher, vous pouvez faire une promenade en bateau écologique, « La Tirona ». Billets non compris !

This was a wonderful tour. Pau was our guide and he was so informative and enthusiastic about the history of the area. He also magically arranged for the thunderstorm to occur AFTER our hike up the volcano. We also had a meal which was authentic and amazing. The staff at Girona Experience replied to my solo request immediately and worked with me to find a tour for me last minute. Very professional and delightful folks to work with.
Awesome. Especially the volcano. The guide was super nice. The meal was good. And the bridge of the first city was magnificent.
We loved this tour! Andres was fantastic. We spent the entire day with Andres driving around to several beautiful towns, a volcano and a lake. We had a very spacious and comfortable van, stopped at an amazing restaurant for lunch and hiked the volcano. We all loved the experience. Thank you!

We did not book as a private tour, but the two of us were the only ones booked and they went ahead with the tour. Our guide, Pau, was very good. He conveyed so much history about the places we visited and answered all our questions. He has excellent command of the English language in addition to the history and geography of the area. Best of all, we learned about local traditions, such as parades for Epiphany (when the Wise Men come to visit on January 6).
Nice city beautiful old buildings and nice shops
Pau was a warm and extremely knowledgeable guide. The volcano and villages we visited were beautiful and very interesting- it's a worthwhile trip out of Girona.
Of course, one had to have a nice weather ro enjoy completely this trip. That one was checked. Another very important element is a guide (and the driver). Ours was Pau and he made our day really memorable. Knowledgable, informative, helpful, we enjoyed his comentaries and guidanance. Our trip took place out of the high season. Positive things were no tourist crowds, moderate temperature, autumn feel in the nature. Besalu, Castle on the Rock,volcano, Santa Pau, Banyoles may be condensed to have in one go but otherwise you will miss one or more of them. Anyhow , this is to have a taste of those places ans you can decide to return to some of them one day for a longer exploration. Recommendes lunch place was great, food even offered as a menu was excellent and greatly priced. Definitelly recommended tour Nd knce again thank you Pau.
Claudia was an excellent guide. She drove the van and gave a commentary on both English and Spanish. The visits to the small towns were lovely, and the restaurant meal was excellent. Highly recommended!
