Phenomenal! Our tour guide Marco was fantastic- very knowledgeable while making info engaging! If you want to knock out every big thing to do in Venice this is the perfect tour!
This was a good tour. I would definitely recommend doing the 9am tour, as the museum was already very hot. Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable and we loved the gondola ride at the end! It was nice to have that included, as they were advertising rides for 90 euro! I thought we could have spent a bit less time in the Doge museum but overall the tour was enjoyable and informative
It was a very detailed, beautiful tour! I loved every bit of it, and it was timed very well. Grazia was a great tour guide!!!
Our tour guide was very pleasant and gave a wonderful tour of the st Marc ‘s church and doge palace. The gondola ride was the icing on the cake. Staying mostly indoors helped as it was horribly hot outdoors.
Great experience with lots of information. Our guide took us at a comfortable pace and ending with the gondola ride was great.
Thank you for your lovely review, Dennis! We’re so glad you enjoyed your Venice experience and appreciated the informative commentary and comfortable pace of the tour. Thank you for the tour. Very educational
This experience was incredible! It was a very hot day in Venice, but the guide was incredibly knowledgeable, spoke great English, and was very informative. I was unsure if I wanted to do the longer “full day tour”, but this was very worth it! The additional time with the guide navigating the narrow streets of Venice with all the additional information she gave made it so worth it!
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Venice experience, especially despite the warm weather. It’s great to know that your guide’s knowledge, storytelling, and guidance through Venice’s beautiful streets helped make the tour worthwhile. We hope to welcome you again for more Venetian discoveries!
The guide Philipe was pleasant, informative and attentive. The Basillica and Doges Palace were well worth seeing. The problem arose with the Gondola ride. getting aboard the boat in two foot swells with nothing to hold on to was bad enough, couple that with a 6' 6" husband with bad knees, and the result became quite perilous. We managed to scramble aboard with two other ladies. The Gondolier was surly and muttered, "if you are scared why did you book this" !! the ride was underwhelming, there was one sentence spoken by the gondolier "have you been to Venice before" then we were back out to the sea to disembark up a set of shiny wet stone steps covered in algae. My husband stood up, trying to ride the swells and was told to step up and over the side of the boat onto the steps, a massive stretch, even without the tossing about of the sea. He lost his balance and made a grab for the steps, there was a man at the front of the boat with a hook on a stick wrestling to try and keep us close to the steps, he started screaming at My husband in Italian, the gondolier started yelling "Sir, don't push" (he wasn't, he was trying to grab onto something) the next thing, a swell totally overbalanced him and he fell overboard and disappeared from view. He re-surfaced and was trapped between the boat and the steps. The guy at the front of the boat was no help and nearly fell in himself. My husband managed to haul himself out, soaking wet and bleeding from wounds to his leg, only to find the rest of the gondoliers standing around and doing nothing to help were all LAUGHING!! If he'd have hit his head, or couldn't swim, this would have been a very different story. There was nothing to hold onto, no safety protocol and no remorse. My husband was mainly embarrassed, bless him. I was deeply upset and traumatised, and every time I close my eyes, all I can see is him disappearing beneath the waves. I am furious. This is a fatality waiting to happen. The gondoliers should all be ashamed of themselves.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear about the frightening incident your husband experienced during the gondola portion of the tour. Safety is extremely important to us, and we are very concerned to hear about the difficulty during boarding and disembarking. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we will be following up with our local partners regarding the circumstances you described. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the Basilica, Doge’s Palace, and Philippe’s guidance, but we understand that the gondola experience significantly impacted your overall impression. Thank you again for sharing this feedback and allowing us the opportunity to address it.
Guide was very knowledgeable. We learned so much. It was extremely hot and he tried his best to keep us cooler
