We had a wonderful day out with Charles . He was an amazing guide sharing his knowledge of the region. Took us to some small and large wineries. Can not recommend Charles enough . Amazing day out. Highly recommend this tour
For a first visit to South Australia, you certainly packed plenty into the trip. One of the things I enjoy most is showing visitors that the Barossa is more than just wine. The history, landscapes, and characters of the region all have their part to play. Thank you for joining me for the day and for taking the time to leave a review. Safe travels, and I hope South Australia gave you plenty of reasons to return.
What an exceptional experience, Charles was the best guide, very knowledgeable about the whole area and took us to some unique wineries. Highly recommended
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. One of the great strengths of the Barossa Valley is the variety of experiences on offer, from well-known names through to smaller family-owned wineries with their own stories to tell. I'm delighted you enjoyed discovering some of those unique cellar doors. Sharing the history, people, and wines of the region is one of the most rewarding parts of being a local Barossa Valley Guide.
This was the best wine tour we’ve done. Charles took us to differed wineries and was happy to wait while we tasted and enjoyed different wines - never felt rushed and he didn’t stop at places we didn’t want to go to (chocolate factory : icecream shops) that bigger bus tours stop at. . Thoroughly enjoyed the day and Charles’s stories ad knowledge of the area made it a great day out.
The Barossa is much more enjoyable when there’s time to settle in, enjoy the wines, and follow the day where your interests take you. One of the advantages of a small tour is being able to spend longer at the cellar doors that are hitting the mark and skip the places that aren't. Your group certainly made the most of the tastings, and the conversations throughout the day were just as enjoyable as the wines. Thanks for spending the day with Valley Wine Tours.
Fantastic day out with mates Great tour guide with good knowledge of the wine region Keep up the great work Charles
Great praise coming from such a knowledgeable wine crew! Five mates, plenty of conversation, and a few boxes of Barossa wine heading back to Victoria made for a memorable day. I enjoyed showing you around the region and introducing a mix of cellar doors, local stories, and wines along the way. It's always rewarding when visitors leave with a deeper appreciation of the Barossa Valley and a few special bottles to remember it by.
Our host, Charles, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and took us to some great wineries. Also, a wonderful platter lunch!
Great wines, good food, and a relaxed day out in the Barossa always make a good combination. I enjoyed showing you a few of the boutique cellar doors and sharing some of the stories behind the region along the way. I’m glad the platter lunch and wineries hit the mark.
Fantastic knowledge and passi9n for the region! Charles provided an intimate experience and took us to some brilliant family wineries across the Barossa 🍷
It was a pleasure showing you around the Barossa Valley. The family-owned wineries really are the heart of the region, and I’m glad you enjoyed the more personal and intimate side of the Barossa experience. Sharing the stories, wines, and history of the valley with guests who are genuinely interested always makes for a rewarding day.
We had a great day out with Charles. He was very informative regarding both wine making and the history past and present of the Barossa. We visited some boutique wineries and were able to speak with local winemakers giving us a great insight. We would highly recommend this tour.
It was a pleasure spending the day with you both in the Barossa Valley. After a few colder days on the motorbike, I’m glad the wineries, local stories, and relaxed pace made for such an enjoyable break from the riding. Meeting winemakers and spending time at the boutique cellar doors is one of the best ways to experience the Barossa, and I’m pleased that side of the day stood out for you.

We had an amazing day touring our favorite wineries in Barossa Valley with Charles as our guide and driver. He took us around and told us the histories of the various wineries and Barossa and Eden Valleys. His local knowledge is excellent. He was also flexible with our timings during the day and took us to a wonderful lunch venue. We had been looking forward to this day at Barossa, and had a perfect experience.
It was a pleasure spending the day with you in the Barossa Valley. Returning to favourite wineries and adding a few stories from the Barossa and Eden Valleys always makes for a rewarding day. I’m glad the timing, flexibility, and lunch stop all came together to match what you had been looking forward to. A relaxed Barossa wine tour should feel easy from start to finish, so it’s great to hear it lived up to expectations.
Charles organized a great day with fantastic wineries & local knowledge. If you looking for a local Barossa Valley pick up we could not recommend highly enough
Thank you, Shane. It was great spending the day with you both in the Barossa Valley. Local pickup really does make for a more relaxed wine tour, and I’m glad that worked well for you. I enjoyed sharing a mix of wineries and a few local stories along the way.
