Really hot day and very crowded. Glad we had the skip the line pass. Tour showed the main features, but there is so much to see there.
The guided tour was full of great information! We went on the last time slot in June and it was fabulous as we saw the sunset colors in the church.
Having only seen this beautiful place on television, we were in awe from the moment we arrived by taxi. There was a buzz in the air from the voices of so many people viewing from the surrounding space and those touring and preparing to tour. Our guide met us across the street and we proceeded to the entry area. There were so many details on the outside and he explained them all - he was fantastic! The inside was spectacular. We were provided a good amount of information in a shorter period of time since we were on a 7:00 pm tour, but it was well done. We were also given information on the plans for the surrounding neighborhood related to completion of the Sagrada over the next 10 years. The headsets worked great and I highly recommend a guided tour! This is an experience that should be on everyone’s list!

Our guide was excellent. Knowledgeable and passionate on the history and symbolism found in the Sagrada Família.
Though the humidity and heat were challenging, having Aina (sp) as a tour guide was what mattered most. She was so energetic, knowledgeable and thoughtful of how the entire group was doing. She even brought stickers for the children in the group as she did her “homework” before the tour. We met at the shop exactly as instructed through the Viator app before the tour started and Aina had us wait in the shade as she made her way through the entrance routine. We soon were all in the main entrance past the crowds waiting to get in. While waiting for our headsets, she made sure we were all in the shade and everyone was able to hear her talking. Fun extra points for having laminated pictures of historical facts and Señior Gaudi himself, to give more depth to the presentation. Of course, Aina is a teacher when she’s not giving tours in Barcelona.

Sagrada Família was impressive. However, we had a tour booked at 6:30 p.m. and by the time the tour finished, it was too late to buy the additional ticket to go up in one of the towers to see the view of Barcelona. Viator should have told us before we booked that the 6:30 p.m. booking would end too late to go up th tower .
