This is a must-do! I just left this fantastic little experience, and I’d absolutely recommend you give this a try. Make sure you use ALLA OF THE FACILITIES. Try the hot tub, the (impossibly cold) cold bath, the steam room, AND the sun garden. Ask Vivien to take a picture of you in the rock garden, she’s great at it and very kind. As a matter of fact, Vivien helped me experience a signature feature of Bangkok’s international charm: the honesty of the average person. I’d been soaking for at least 10-15 mins when she tracked me down to let me know I’d accidentally left my phone sitting out in the dressing room! There were dozens of people moving in/around the space, and not only was my phone safe, staff worked to figure out to whom it belonged. Kudos. My only suggestion for the owners would be to post the onsen rules/etiquette MUCH sooner in the process 😂. Either that, or have employees automatically refer guests to the posted rules. The place they ARE posted is in a dimly-lit corner space that encourages you to turn rather than stop, stand, and let your eyes adjust to the sudden darkness enough to be able to READ the tiny print you’ve posted in three different languages. I made SO MANY little mistakes, but thankfully nothing too egregious. I was only was sad when realized at the end I could have been naked the whole time! 😊 There are fantastic amenities in the ladies’ locker room, which is the only public place I have ever dared to walk around in barefoot. I’m the type that will wear shower shoes at the gym when I visit the hot tub. THIS place? Fantastic. I’m seriously thinking about going back before I leave.
