Chez Howlanders, nous considérons le « Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers Tour » comme un incontournable pour tout voyageur visitant Puerto Natales. Depuis le bateau, l'excursion vous fera découvrir deux des glaciers les plus impressionnants du Chili : Balmaceda et Serrano. En plus des glaciers, cette excursion comprend une marche de 40 minutes à travers une forêt luxuriante pour atteindre le pied des glaciers. Sur le chemin du retour au bateau, vous pourrez déguster un verre de whisky fabriqué avec de la glace millénaire des glaciers, un café ou une tasse de thé chaud. À l’heure proposée, nous vous donnons rendez-vous au point de rendez-vous situé au centre de Puerto Natales pour un briefing. Ensuite, la navette vous emmènera à Puerto Bories, situé à environ 5 km. Vous pouvez vous présenter directement à Puerto Bories si cela vous convient mieux. Une fois sur place, vous monterez à bord du navire pour commencer votre grande aventure !
Tous à bord ! Mettez le cap sur les glaciers Balmaceda et Serrano en passant par le fjord Ultima Esperanza. Pendant la première partie du voyage, admirez la nature débordante de la Patagonie lorsque le capitaine s’approche des colonies de cormorans, du ravin des otaries (salon des otaries), de la falaise de condors et des grandes cascades. Continuez jusqu'au parc national Bernardo O'Higgins et débarquez à Puerto Toro. Ensuite, dégourdissez-vous les jambes sur une promenade de 40 minutes le long d'un sentier à travers une forêt luxuriante de coihues et de hêtres du sud. À la fin du parcours, découvrez le point de vue principal face au grand glacier Serrano et profitez des vues les plus spectaculaires sur ce glacier captivant.
Vous aurez un peu de temps libre pour profiter de la vue sur le glacier et flâner le long de certains des sentiers dans les environs tout en revenant au bateau. Une fois de retour à bord, l’équipage vous accueillera avec un verre de whisky refroidi par de la glace glaciaire ancienne, un café fraîchement préparé ou une tasse de thé chaude.
Ensuite, le navire poursuivra sa route vers une estancia (ranch) traditionnelle de Patagonie. Là, vous débarquerez à nouveau pour savourer un délicieux déjeuner composé de salade, soupe, agneau grillé avec pommes de terre et dessert, accompagné de vin chilien ou d’une boisson de votre choix. Des alternatives végétariennes sont également disponibles!
Après le déjeuner, commencez le voyage de retour à Puerto Natales avec le premier arrêt à Puerto Boires. De là, la navette vous déposera au centre-ville avec une heure d'arrivée entre 16h00 et 17h00 (selon la saison).

The tours presented the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers were spectacular. Having never seen a glacier, the small boat allow us to get close to enjoy the personal view of Serrano Glacier. However Balmaceda Glacier require hiking to the site. This was not clear in description of the 2 day tour. Finally, it was a very pricey experience.

The walk is a gift for the senses, the navigation has everything you need for one to fully enjoy the walk, the view is spectacular and the national park you visit is beautiful, the color of the water, the visit to the glaciers, a must-see home port.

Great views and service. Snacks and coffee or tea in the morning and then a short hike followed by whiskey and an amazing lunch with local wine included.

We had a wonderful day frim.the friendly welcome to coffee and xookie. We got so close to the sights on the boat. Loved the hike. That was the first tie I've gone on a boat tour that included a hike. A very nice break in the day! Lunch was fabulous! The entire day was delightful.

We had an amazing experience riding horses. Sergio took us on a loop around the area. The horses were great and Sergio told us a lot about the area , history and nature. I loved my horse Canario. My friend rode blancita. Thank you estancia pingo savage

The scenery all the way through the fjords to the glaciers is spectacular. The boat is comfortable and staff were friendly and attentive. You can sit and watch the wonders through the windows or go out on deck to take photos or see closer views. Be prepared with warm clothing, hat, gloves etc if going on deck. Tea, coffee, snacks and a whisky is served on board and you get to meet people from many different nations and talk about different experiences. The walk to the bottom of the glacier is on some uneven terrain with steps etc but well worth it if you can do it. Saw my first iceberg on this short trek! Lunch at the hacienda was great. Large indoor restaurant with generous lunch- salad, soup, lamb, chicken or vegetarian main, dessert and drink (wine etc)) For the large number of people service was very efficient. If you don’t like lots of meat and potatoes maybe try the vegetarian. Only downside is if you don’t like big groups (150 odd) and lining up for toilets etc this tour may not be for you .
