La basilique de Saint-Nicolas est une destination de pèlerinage importante pour les catholiques romains et les chrétiens orthodoxes et l'une des attractions les plus importantes.
La cathédrale est le siège de l'archevêque de Bari-Bitonto, dédié à Saint Sabinus, un évêque de Canosa, dont les reliques ont été apportées ici au 9ème siècle. Ici, vous apprécierez les murs romains souterrains nommés Succorpo.
La place a toujours représenté le cœur des activités commerciales et administratives de la ville en raison de la présence du marché de la ville (pas actuellement dans ce quartier) et du palais Sedile, qui est le point de référence historique de la mairie de Bari. Aujourd'hui, pour les citoyens de Bari, c'est un point de rencontre irremplaçable.
Le château normand swebian accueille la collection de moulages en plâtre et expositions d'art temporaires.
La Piazza Ferrarese a toujours été l'un des points d'accès à la vieille ville qui, avec ses rues étroites, ses ruelles et ses petites ouvertures, s'étend de la Piazza Ferrarese - Piazza Mercantile jusqu'au château Normanno -Svevo. Au cours d'une récente restauration, qui a impliqué non seulement la place mais aussi les bâtiments environnants, un court tronçon de l'ancienne Via Appia - Traiana a été mis au jour, construit par les Romains au début du IIe siècle après JC.

Great way to see Bari and discover some spots to check out. We did this within hours of arriving and even though it was really hot- Giancarlo ( our guide) created moments to refresh . Really worth it!!!!

Bike tour with Eleonora and Toma. Highly recommended. Eleonora is super nice; she took us on a very interesting tour of old Bari up to the street of orecchiette. Being a large group, we also had the support of Toma, who closed the group and waited for the slower ones. Highly recommended.

My sister and I enjoyed our tour very much! Giancarlo was a fantastic guide - incredibly knowledgeable about Bari and its history. He went out of his way to answer all questions and even helped us locate particular places in Bari from old family photographs (from the 1940’s and 1950’s) that we had brought with us. I am always interested in doing a bike tour wherever I go and Bari was no exception. It is a great way to see a larger portion of a city and even some hidden gems. Giancarlo made it fun, he was insightful and very personable. We loved seeing the local market, the residential area where real Barese live and getting to nibble on traditional food of the area. I highly recommend this tour especially for your first day in Bari - get the lay of the land and then venture out on your own. Grazie mille Giancarlo for a fun day!

We booked the bike tour, but were asked to move to time that didn't work. We did the identical walking food tour (with Anna) and took a bike out later for a self ride. That worked out well. The food was characteristic of Bari and delicious. 2 glasses of wine too. And our bike riding was at our quicker pace! Velo tours is a great outfit. Everyone was friendly and helpful. 5 stars.
Recommended by our hotel, we had the option of a private or small group tour starting in 30 mins. We are happy we joined the small group as Quancarlos shared history, recent and ancient, with enthusiasm and accuracy. Great bikes, convenient location, thoughtful route, and a great guide; all the ingredients for perfect excursion in Bari.
