Balade cosmopolite "médiévale" à Bled

Description

We had the absolute pleasure of spending time with Tomaz, a true medieval knight, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! He gave us a fascinating journey through the history of medieval weaponry, defenses, and battle tactics across Europe. Tomaz also shared wonderful snippets of folklore and customs that still influence our lives today. Fun fact: did you know knights mounted their horses from the left so their sword wouldn’t jab the horse? This custom still exists today! Details like this made the experience so engaging. Tomaz’s knowledge, passion, and storytelling were incredible. His English was excellent, and he explained complex military and historical terms in a way that made them easy (and fun) to understand. Surrounded by his impressive collection of weapons, it felt like a hands-on history lesson right in our hotel. To top it off, Tomaz guided us through an archery demonstration. He was not only an expert but also a fantastic teacher— my wife even hit a bullseye on her first try thanks to his guidance! Overall, this was an educational, entertaining, and truly memorable experience. If you ever have the chance to meet Tomaz, don’t miss it. He is a passionate knight who brings history to life. Highly recommend!
Excellent tour of Lake Bled including all aspects of its history, geography and social development. Highly recommend this tour!
Tomaz is incredibly knowledgable on all things medieval, not just in Bled but throughout Europe. He is also highly entertaining and good company. I would highly recommend a tour of Bled with him.
We were a group of friends visiting Bled for the first time. We chose this tour to learn more about Bled, the lake and area. Tomaz was our guide and told us so many interesting and colorful stories about the history of the area. He was dressed in medieval costume and explained the purpose and use of all the weapons he wore. We took a walk along the lake and learned about the various conflicts and legends. I highly recommend Tomaz and his colorful historical presentation.
Very informative walking tour. Very nice for extra treatment of being picked up and dropped off at Hotel where staying. Loved the medieval outfit. Very knowledgeable of history.
This private tour with Tomaz Kosir was amazing and a great introduction to both the history and magic of current Bled. He was prompt, friendly and extremely passionate about the medieval roots of Bled and all of Slovenia. He even taught us the basics of archery! Highly recommend Tomaz and his tour.
We had a wonderful time with Tomaz. He made history come alive. A fun knowledge tour guide. Would recommend this tour for adults and families alike. My husband was even able to try some archery skills!
We have found Tomaz upon recommendations on Tripadvisor and decision was a top notch idea how to spend half of the day in Bled ! We took a class in traditonal archery, history, events of the place, myths and legends and the most important the inner secrets of Bled castle were revealed for us through the eyes of medievalist - Tomaz is a part of the historical entertaining society from the Bled castle, middle ages are his field of work - accompained with lots of humour and fun.
After reading the excellent reviews about the 2 hour tour that Tomaz organised I prearranged our tour to be sure we were not disappointed. Tomaz is very knowledgeable about the area telling us about the place, buildings and statues that we had walked past without knowing anything of their history. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk with him and the 2 hours passed very quickly. We continued our walk all around the lake after Tomaz left and added the boat to the island church so it was quite a full day but very enjoyable.
If you are looking for an introduction to the picturesque town of Bled, you could not do better than Tomaz's wonderful walking tour; he is not only knowledgeable, he is enthusiastic and humourous as well.
