Vivez cette incroyable visite de 3,5 heures où vous apprendrez le cycle de vie des tortues de mer, les caractéristiques des différentes tortues qui visitent cette partie du Mexique, le temps d'incubation, le taux de survie et toutes les difficultés que ces petites créatures doivent traverser. le moment où ils naissent et courent vers l'océan et jusqu'au moment où ils reviennent à la plage plusieurs années plus tard pour pondre des œufs. Pour faciliter la compréhension, nous utiliserons un tableau pour expliquer les différences entre les 4 types de tortues qui visitent le Mexique. Ce service comprend le transport aller-retour du hall de votre hôtel à Ixtapa ou Zihuatanejo à la ferme des tortues, un guide touristique informatif et la possibilité de voir comment les bébés tortues de mer marchent vers l'océan et nagent à travers les grosses vagues. Après la ferme aux tortues, vous aurez l'occasion de déguster un macaron frais à la noix de coco fabriqué localement.

Nous traverserons la ville pour nous rendre à la communauté rurale de Juluchuca, célèbre pour la production de macarons à la noix de coco et qui possède la plage la plus longue et la plus isolée, ce qui en fait le meilleur endroit pour que les mamans tortues viennent pondre leurs œufs loin du bruit de les villes touristiques.
A la plage de Juluchuca nous vous expliquerons le cycle de vie des tortues marines et vous indiquerons les caractéristiques des 3 différentes sortes de tortues marines qui viennent pondre dans cette partie du Mexique, nous mentionnerons également les différents prédateurs qui les tuent avant ils arrivent à l'océan et aussi une fois qu'ils sont dans l'océan. Après une explication de 20 minutes, nous sélectionnerons un nid qui a été trouvé la veille, nous retirerons soigneusement un peu de sable et vous montrerons un des œufs, puis nous couvrirons le nid. Après cela, nous sélectionnerons le nid qui est en train d'éclore et vous verrez comment les tortues remontent à la surface. Toutes les tortues seront mises dans un petit récipient. Les tortues resteront environ 10 à 20 minutes dans le conteneur, jusqu'à ce qu'elles soient actives et prêtes à partir. Après nous les emmènerons dans le sable humide à environ 25 pieds de l'océan et dès qu'ils seront mis dans le sable humide, ils courront vers l'océan. Nous attendrons qu'ils arrivent tous à l'océan.

We absolutely loved this turtle release tour. Luis taught us about the different kinds of turtles, then we each took five babies from the nest and got to interact with them until they were alert enough to be released into the ocean. One of my highlights from the week!
My husband and I and our 3 kids (13,11,8) did the sea turtle experience with Luis. He is so kind, knowledgeable, and fun! We all learned a lot, and getting to be hands-on with the baby turtles was really incredible. It was so great that we booked the snorkel tour with him for a few days later which was ALSO amazing! He drove us to the water taxi and we went across to Isla Ixtapa which was gorgeous, did some snorkeling and he showed us all kinds of beautiful fish, then we spent the day eating, drinking, and playing on the beach. Finally, he is giving us the best price for a van to the airport. We cannot recommend Luis enough!!
Our guide was phenomenal! Incredibly knowledgeable! Was fluent in English! Funny! Everything in a personality needed to have a good time! There was even surprise adventure. The men of the baby turtle sanctuary were so sweet and caring. And the absolute best were the baby sea turtles and the experience of getting to watch them start their sea lives! 10/10 recommend for those looking for ADVENTURE!
Very informative. They take pride in helping the turtles. Being able to release the turtles was amazing. I would suggest July through August as it is in the middle to the end of hatching season.

Really great experience, the beach was beautiful. These guys are doing such important work. The bonus was the ATV ride and coconut treats.
An absolutely life long memorable event. The drive to the sanctuary was educational, thanks to Pablo's knowledge of the area. The excursion to the ocean site where the baby sea turtle sanctuary is located was a lot fun riding on the ATV's thru coconut groves. The short class on the different sea turtle that lay their eggs on this 14 km strip of beach was very informative. We can not say enough positive things about the entire experience. Will definitely be returning with friends and family to share the truly moving experience of nature.
We booked and paid for three adults to go on a tour on February 23. My husband became ill and I advised the tour operator, more than 24 hours in advance and in accordance with its cancellation policy. February 22 was the same day the madness in P.V. occurred and the remaining two in our party were uncomfortable travelling outside the city. The operator has refused to refund any of the fees, including the one that was cancelled more than 24 hours in advance of the tour. My advice: DO NOT pay in advance. It has been a miserable experience.
Luis took our family on an amazing trip to learn about several species of sea turtles, their life cycles, and their what is being done to help save/protect them. The two men that run the rescue were so kind and you could tell they loved being a part of saving the turtles. They truly care. Luis was an excellent guide and translated everything so we understood the whole process. He is kind and very informative from the moment he picked us up at our hotel to the moment he dropped us off at the end of the tour. He was so helpful. We definitely recommend this tour with Luis!
The baby sea turtle release was amazing! We learned a lot about the turtles from the two gentlemen who run the turtle rescue, then were so amazed with the hands on experience getting to hold and release the baby turtles into the ocean. These men do so much to help improve the turtle population. They are so dedicated to the cause and do it for the love of the turtles. Luis was a great tour guide! He was so friendly, translated the entire turtle presentation, and gave us so much information on the drive to and from the turtle rescue area. His English is excellent which made the experience better as we fully understood everything. I would definitely recommend this activity. My family really enjoyed it and it was even better with Luis!
