Fondée en 1350, Ayutthaya est rapidement devenue l'une des villes les plus puissantes et cosmopolites du monde. Les marchands d'Europe, de Perse, de Chine et du Japon passaient tous par ses rues animées, et ses temples et palais au toit doré rivalisaient autrefois avec les meilleurs d'Asie. Le palais royal de Bang Pa-In, également connu sous le nom de palais d'été, est un complexe de palais autrefois utilisé par les rois thaïlandais. Un certain nombre de bâtiments impressionnants se trouvent dans le complexe du palais, construits dans des styles architecturaux très différents, certains en thaï classique, certains chinois et certains européens.
Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon a été fondé dans la seconde moitié du 14ème siècle sous le règne du roi U Thong, premier souverain d'Ayutthaya. Le point culminant du monastère est son très grand prang imposant dominant la région. siècle. Pendant l'invasion birmane de 1767, le temple a été en grande partie détruit.
Wat Mahathat, également connu sous le nom de monastère de la grande relique, aurait été construit vers le 14ème siècle et était autrefois la résidence du patriarche suprême, chef des moines bouddhistes thaïlandais. L'attraction touristique la plus populaire de Wat Mahathat est un arbre dont les racines ont poussé autour de la tête de la statue de Bouddha.
Ce célèbre temple est situé au sud de Wat Phra Si Sanphet. Sa grande image de Bouddha assis en bronze ou Phra Mongkhon Bophit est l'une des plus grandes images de Bouddha en bronze de Thaïlande avec ses mesures de 9,5 mètres sur les genoux et une hauteur de 12,5 mètres. Lors de la chute d'Ayutthaya, le bâtiment et l'image ont été gravement détruits par le feu. L'image actuelle de Vihara et de Bouddha a été reconstruite et rénovée sous le règne du roi Rama V.
Utilisé principalement pour les cérémonies qui servaient à authentifier l'autorité spirituelle et morale du roi, Wat Phra Si Sanphet était le temple royal officiel. Aucun moine ne vivait ici et seules les personnes faisant partie du cercle royal étaient autorisées à entrer. Détruire Wat Phra Si Sanphet et le Palais Royal était une priorité des envahisseurs birmans. Ils ont fait fondre 160 kilos d'or de l'image Phra Buddha Chai Sri Sanphet et ont mis le feu à tout le reste. Les pagodes distinctives de Wat Phra Si Sanphet sont l'un des sites les plus célèbres d'Ayutthaya.
Wat Chaiwatthanaram a été construit en 1630 par le roi Prasat Thong pendant la dernière période d'Ayutthaya. Il a été construit pour commémorer la ville natale de sa mère et pour célébrer son couronnement. Le prang principal est entouré de nombreux petits prangs et tours dans huit directions. Wat Chaiwatthanaram était un monastère royal. Le roi et ses descendants y effectuaient des rites religieux. C'était aussi un site de crémation pour les membres de la famille royale. Avec ses bâtiments de style khmer, Wat Chaiwatthanaram est l'un des temples antiques les plus impressionnants d'Ayutthaya.

Pas de chemises sans manches, de shorts, de jeans déchirés, de pantalons serrés, de leggings, de pantoufles, de sandales ou de hauts révélateurs, sinon vous ne serez pas autorisé à entrer.
- Si vous n'êtes pas un client réel dans l'un des hôtels de notre zone de ramassage, le point de rendez-vous désigné sera notre bureau sur Chao Khamrop Road dans le quartier chinois. Notre bureau à Chinatown est à seulement 5 minutes à pied de la station de métro Wat Mangkon MRT. IMPORTANT : L'heure exacte de rendez-vous/départ sera communiquée en message privé via la plateforme de réservation la veille de la visite. Les participants doivent savoir que les ramassages commenceront jusqu'à 45 minutes avant l'heure prévue de début de la visite. Veuillez vérifier attentivement votre courriel (y compris le courrier indésirable) la veille de la visite.
- Le trafic de Bangkok peut être fortement congestionné. Comme nos visites se déroulent en groupe, nous pouvons attendre un maximum de 10 minutes après l'heure prévue de la réunion. Après cette période de grâce, le Guide commencera la visite. Si vous ne pouvez pas arriver à temps, veuillez nous le faire savoir avant le début de la visite. Si possible, nous ferons de notre mieux pour vous reporter à la prochaine plage horaire ou journée disponible, bien que des frais de report s’appliqueront. Aucun remboursement ne sera prévu en cas d'arrivée tardive.

- Nos circuits fonctionnent avec de la pluie ou du beau temps, car les averses de pluie tropicale en Thaïlande ne durent généralement pas longtemps. S'il pleut beaucoup, nous essayons de trouver un abri et nous continuerons dès que le temps s'améliorera. Pendant la saison des pluies, il est conseillé d’apporter un imperméable ou un poncho. Very well organized tour and the small was true. We only had a group of 3 for this day trip to Ayutthaya. Coconut was our guide and she was friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job of giving us details about each temple and historic site. She and our driver made sure we had water and also stopped at a good restaurant for lunch. All in all take the trip as a tourist because otherwise it's not fun.
It was a great tour got to visit a couple of temples and had delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Coconut was very informative and caring she was amazing and made the tour even more enjoyable

Our guide Piya was great Super accomodating and friendly and we felt we learnt a lot of really interesting information about the history of Thailand. He was very enthusiastic a great photo taker and overall super accomodating towards us. The inclusive option was also extremely handy, allowing us to get our bearings while he got tickets. He checked up on us and ensured we weren’t too hot or if we needed a break and overall I loved my experience today.

Piya was a fantastic guide. So friendly and knowledge and gave excellent advice on where to get the best pictures and was willing to answer every question we asked of him. He was flexible to our needs and kept checking in consistently on a very hot day. Transport was comfortable and cool. I would absolutely recommend him and the tour to anyone.

The day was perfect. The temperature and the sun were also present. My guide, Coco, was very pleasant and took several photos of me. I took this group tour, but in the end, I was the only one, and the tour still took place. At each location, I was given (at the beginning of each visit) a brief overview of the country's history and the different relationships with the temple/palace I was about to see, and then I had free time to explore at my leisure. Coco is very knowledgeable about her history with the dates and shares her knowledge with me. The chosen restaurant was very nice and good. In summary, a beautiful day in the country's past. I thought it was very well organized there wasn't any hanging about and our guide Meaw was knowledgeable, funny and approachable taking us on a journey through all the temples we visited. The optional stop for lunch was good the restaurant having river views and the food being excellent.

For those who enjoy historical ruins, this tour is ideal. We met at a convenient MRT station and were driven around in a luxury van for small groups of 9 or less. The driver smoothly managed the heavy traffic. Our guide, Coco, was warm and welcoming sharing with us her vast knowledge of Thai history while walking through multiple sites including a UNESCO site. The weather was hot so they provided us with water to keep us hydrated. The tour was well divided as we toured two sites prior to lunch at a local Thai restaurant and then three sites after lunch. We ended up back in Bangkok around 6 pm tired but happy.
