If you’re visiting Jackson Hole or Grand Teton National Park, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Eco Tour Adventures. After spending five days in the area, this was everyone’s favorite experience of the entire trip. Our guide, Rafael, was absolutely incredible. His knowledge of the wildlife, the park, and the area made the tour both exciting and educational. Thanks to his expertise, we saw an unbelievable amount of wildlife, including 9 grizzly bears, 8 moose, elk, mule deer, beavers, and so much more. Rafael knew exactly where to go, answered every question we had, and made sure everyone had a great view and an unforgettable experience. If you’re hoping to see wildlife and experience the Tetons at their best, ask for Rafael. We would book this tour again in a heartbeat!
I had a wonderful experience on my Sunset Tour with Jackson Hole EcoTour Adventures. I was lucky enough to go on a tour with a group of friends as part of a special Pride night. Guides are incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. Our guide Sage provided excellent interpretation that was both easily understandable and incredibly engaging. I highly recommend the guides Sage H. and Meadow G. if you want a truly special experience on your tour!
We're so glad you enjoyed your tour with Sage, they are a phenomenal guide. Meadow is, too! Thank you so much for touring with us! Cheers, Kelsey
Our family of 5 adults are pretty well traveled and have high levels of expectations . We all had an amazing time with Ricky on our sunset tour. From the convenient pick up to the comfortable van and great binoculars the amenities were 1st class. The best part was how we went out and learned all about the Tetons, the various animals and the history of the area. Ricky was a knowledgable guide filled with lots of great info and he was also a pleasure to spend 4 hours with. He found lots of great wildlife for us from a coyote and bald eagle to bison, elk and mule deer and beavers. A real 5 star experience!
We're so glad you enjoyed your tour with Ricky, who is a phenomenal guide, and that your time with him exceeded expectations. We're happy to hear that you learned a ton about the landscape and that you saw tons of wildlife. Thank you so much for touring with us! Cheers, Kelsey
Our guide, Roy, picked us up at our hotel in JH. We ventured out to look for bears, wolves, elk, moose, pretty much any animal we could spot. He is a biologist and is very knowledgeable but even better was how friendly and personable he was. They have state of the art binoculars and spotting scopes (Swarovski brand), amazing snacks and personalized Ecotour water bottles we got to keep. The van has roof hatches that pop open too! He air dropped the photos and videos he captured with the scope with us too. Unfortunately we didn’t catch any bears because it was a warm day but we did see elk, bison, pronghorns, and our bonus once in a lifetime sighting of a Great Grey Owl that our guide spotted! He was a beauty! We also saw trees with bear hair on them. We stopped at several other spots, bathroom breaks and we ended the night with a Dairy Queen run too!! Overall we had a wonderful time with Roy and Ecotours! We even learned some beaver history too (wink wink). Definitely recommend them if you’re in JH!
We're so glad you enjoyed your tour with Roy! He is a wonderful guide; we echo everything you said about his personality. While not seeing bears is always a bummer, we're thrilled that you saw tons of other wildlife and learned a ton from Roy – AND got to stop at DQ on the way home! Thank you for touring with us. Cheers, Kelsey
We had a great sunset tour with Jason. He was very experienced and knowledgeable and able to spot animals we couldn't even fathom. He shared interesting information about the area and animals, answered our questions, and kept us (including teenagers) engaged the entire tour. We saw a moose & baby, black bear, several elk, pronghorn, beaver, bald eagle, and coyote, and visited some beautiful parts of the park. Highly recommend this tour and Jason.
Jason is a terrific guide and a valued member of our team, and we're thrilled that you enjoyed your tour with him and learned a ton. That's a great list of wildlife sightings, too! Thank you so much for touring with us, we hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Jackson Hole! Cheers, Kelsey
Rafael (our tour guide) picked us up promptly and took us on a fantastic tour spotting a large mixture of fauna and flora. He was a wealth ok knowledge on numerous subjects while being most energetic on his excellent explanations. He was most pleasant, professional and great with the kids. This tour and this guide are highly recommended!
Raf is a fantastic guide and, as you said, possesses a wealth of knowledge. We're so glad you enjoyed your tour with him! We're happy to hear that you learned a lot. Thank you so much for touring with us! Cheers, Kelsey
We had an outstanding experience with Jackson Eco Tours and would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Park. We booked both a private full-day Yellowstone tour with Daniel and a sunset grand Teton tour with Roy, and both guides were exceptional. Their knowledge of the area, wildlife, ecology, and park history added so much to the experience. It was clear they are deeply passionate about what they do, and we learned far more than we ever would have exploring on our own. We were lucky to see 4 bears, a lot of elk, too many bison to count, pronghorn and a bald eagle. One thing that really sets Jackson Eco Tours apart is their equipment and vehicles. The vehicles are specifically designed for wildlife viewing, with roofs that raise and large windows that provide excellent visibility. Every guest is provided with high-quality binoculars, and the guides carry spotting scopes that allow you to get incredible views of wildlife from a safe and respectful distance. The company is also extremely organized. Our full-day Yellowstone tour included a well-planned lunch and refreshments, and every detail was handled seamlessly from start to finish. We appreciated how professionally everything was coordinated, allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying the experience. We were especially impressed that the guides can be degree-educated biologists and naturalists with an incredible depth of knowledge. We are confident we would not have seen nearly as many animals without their expertise, tracking skills, and familiarity with wildlife movement patterns. Whether discussing animal behavior, geology, ecosystems, or local history, Daniel and Roy were able to answer every question and provide fascinating insights throughout the day. For anyone hoping to maximize wildlife sightings, we would also recommend planning a visit between late May and mid-June, when animal activity is especially high. If you’re looking for a premium wildlife and Yellowstone experience with knowledgeable guides, top-notch equipment, and exceptional organization, Jackson Eco Tours is absolutely worth it. Note, they also offer small group tours.
Thank you for writing such a detailed review, and for booking not one but two tours with us. We're so glad that you enjoyed both outings with Daniel and Roy, who are equally fantastic guides and valued member of our team. Isn't their passion for the GYE contagious? We're lucky to have them and their wealth of knowledge. Thank you so much for touring with us, we hope to see you again down the road! Cheers, Kelsey
Best way to experience the wildlife and wilderness in the park!
