Aventure en canoë/kayak et/ou à vélo sur le lac Duluti avec déjeuner
Description
La visite commence par une excursion en canoë de deux heures autour du lac Duluti. Les clients pourront admirer la vue sur les monts Meru et le Kilimandjaro lorsqu'ils sont sur l'eau (si le temps le permet) et découvrir la flore et la faune du lac ainsi que la forêt environnante. Nous pédalerons ensuite du lac aux cascades de Mangalia (3 à 5 heures au total) où ils pourront profiter d'une baignade rafraîchissante dans l'eau fraîche de la montagne. En chemin, nous traversons des fermes de café et visitons une petite brasserie artisanale où est préparée la bière de banane traditionnelle. Cette expérience de la vie et de la culture tanzanienne se termine par un déjeuner dans un petit restaurant où nous prenons un repas local typique.

Notre guide expérimenté vous accompagnera lors de votre voyage vers le lac Duluti où vous profiterez d'une balade en canoë de 2 heures. Vous en apprendrez un peu plus sur la flore et la faune de la région et profiterez de la vue sur les monts Meru et Kilimandjaro (si le temps le permet). Après le canoë, vous pédalerez du lac aux cascades voisines de Mangalia (3 heures au total).
Sur le chemin des cascades de Mangalia (3 heures au total), les visiteurs traverseront les villages de Patandi, Mavinuni et Akheri, où ils auront l'occasion d'explorer un peu la vie quotidienne et la culture en Tanzanie. L'expérience comprend une courte visite guidée d'une ferme de café où vous en apprendrez plus sur la culture de la plante car la Tanzanie est l'un des principaux exportateurs africains de ce produit. Nous passerons environ 30 à 40 minutes. à la cascade où vous pourrez profiter d'une baignade rafraîchissante dans l'eau vive de la montagne. Ensuite, sur le chemin du retour, nous visiterons une petite brasserie artisanale pour apprendre comment la bière de banane traditionnelle (mbege) est préparée. Notre visite se termine ensuite dans un petit restaurant de quartier où vous pourrez déguster des plats locaux.

I so enjoyed the experience but was a little surprised how run down things looked. I understand the lake has been rising so some parts of resorts are underwater. The weather probably contributes to the condition of the buildings. A power spray here could make it look nicer though I would think. that said, my friends who are locals negotiated a price for us. Myself and a mother of two small children were paddled in a flat bottom, comfortable canoe type boat for 2 hours around the edge of the lake. We saw two monitor lizards and many various birds. There were monkeys in the trees where we parked our car. Our guide was knowledgeable and so enjoyable!
Thank you so much for the incredible 2-hour canoe tour! Seeing the monitor lizards, all the different birds, and the monkeys in the trees made for such a memorable outing for the kids and me. While I did notice that the high lake levels have taken a toll on some of the surrounding buildings and resort facilities, the knowledgeable and warm service truly made up for it. Booked through TA about 4 days in advance canoe trip only on Lake Duluti (without lunch). A shaky start having to chase collection after pickup time - but quickly rectified and collected from Serena Arusha down to Lake Duluti. As a family of 4 adults we were allocated a Punt type boat with Pysion our guide paddling. He was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to - and would otherwise have been 5 stars. Over 2 hours going the whole way round the lake with great wildlife observation and interesting information about Tanzania. Walked through rear gate of hotel to rear gardens once finished as launch point very close.

Hello! Thanks for you feedback, but this happens depends on what you choose,your option was only cycling tour with transportation on this option doesn't includes lunch. We highly recommend trying this trip! It was an amazing experience. We were picked up in the morning by our driver and then we met our guide Pison who took us on a boat and we explored Lake Duluti. It's like another safari, so many different birds that we didn't expect such fun. It was calming, beautiful, relaxing and very safe. We didn't see Kilimanjaro due to poor visibility, but it was okay. Then we cycled to the waterfalls. It was a bit challenging :), but amazing! And we were glad we got some exercise after the safari. After refreshing ourselves in the water we had bananas, our great guide bought them for us because we were a bit hungry, but then in the afternoon we had a great lunch - honestly, the best of our entire stay in Tanzania. After swimming we cycled back. I have to say that it was one of the greatest moments for me because we were in contact with the locals, the kids were waving at us and it was very authentic. One of the most realistic and beautiful experiences of our entire visit.

Unfortunately, this is not very interesting. They are not canoes but a kind of boat where we climb to four, and we are shown around the lake. This remains my opinion, but maybe the birdwatchers will be more satisfied than us.

This was a fantastic trip. Pisan was our guide and he is a lovely person, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We had a lovely time looking at lots of wildlife on the lake and then the bike ride was a great way to see the villages and learn a little about local life. The waterfall was stunning and we had a really nice swim and had the place to ourselves. Highly recommend this trip.

Booked this last minute as I needed some exercise, after sitting in cars for safaris ended up being the only traveller. Had a nice relaxing canoe on the lake; saw lots of beautiful birds, monkeys and an iguana with mountains in the background. The bike ride was definitely more of a mountain bike with moderately rocky terrain roads/farmland flat but a couple of hills over all great. Got to a small but beautiful waterfall for a nice swim when do you ever get your own personal waterfall. Food was nice.

It was such a great experience! The cycling part needs a bit of fitness, but it’s totally worth it. Our guide Peason was amazing and made the whole adventure even more fun. Definitely recommend!

My friends and I took the Lake Duluti + Mountain bike in the area. First a super pieceful boatride around lake Duluti seeing the beautiful bird rich fauna and nature. Afterwards a tough but awesome trip on mountainbike. Please be aware that it requires a little bit of fitness to go over the hills and going down you need to be comfortable on a mountainbike. You can also just get off the bike and push. Afterwards we had a dip in the captivating waterfall - it was nice after a quite tough hill on the bike. We ended with a wonderful dinner at a local place with great vibes. The guide was cool! Definitely recommend to do this tour.
