Visite commentée à travers les villes pittoresques de Makawao et Kula en remontant les pentes du ranch Haleakala où vous observerez les couleurs d'avant l'aube avant de commencer votre balade à vélo.
La partie vélo de la visite commence au niveau de 6 500 pieds de Haleakala. Vous ferez rouler vos vélos à travers les 29 virages en lacets tout en admirant les magnifiques vues de l'île.
Sur les pentes du Haleakala Ranch, à 6 500 pieds, votre passionnante excursion à vélo commencera par les 29 lacets. De belles vues bi-côtières peuvent être vues en descendant deux fois.
Situé sur le milieu des pentes du volcan Haleakala de Maui, Makawao a un pied dans son passé de plantation et un autre dans sa communauté artistique florissante. Cette charmante ville était autrefois nommée l'une des 25 meilleures destinations artistiques des États-Unis. Makawao est la plus grande petite ville de la région connue localement sous le nom de Upcountry Maui et est célèbre pour ses cowboys hawaïens, ou paniolo. Depuis la fin du XIXe siècle, les paniolo à cheval se disputent le bétail dans les vastes champs des hautes terres de Maui. Le Makawao Rodeo, qui se tient chaque année le 4 juillet, est le plus grand concours de paniolo d'Hawaï et est une tradition de l'arrière-pays depuis plus de 50 ans. Les événements du week-end comprennent un défilé et des compétitions de rodéo traditionnelles telles que la course de barils, le lasso au mollet et l'équitation de bronco à cru, le tout avec quelques rebondissements hawaïens. Pour une collation, suivez les habitants pour obtenir un célèbre chou à la crème du magasin T. Komoda. Fondé en 1916 par Takezo Komoda, un ouvrier japonais de plantation, ce petit magasin et boulangerie fait de grandes affaires.

Good fun morning out. Fun guides who were there to make sure you enjoyed yourself. Bikes look ropey but turn out to be way faster (more fun!!) than the fancy looking bikes that other operators are using.

Itinerary improved from the listing. Left a little less early in AM to see the sunrise, then started the bike ride lower on the volcano (fewer tough switchbacks) as practice, then took us back for a second ride down to enjoy the spectacular views. Fantastic Family Fun - Wonderful!

Joe and Naani were so awesome and kind. Safety was paramount and they were very understanding when my daughter was nervous and just starting the ride. They took the time to speak with her and make sure she was comfortable. And on the other end of the spectrum, they also ensured that my son was able to race down the hill at his own pace with no limitations since he is a more avid rider. Coolest part, getting to do the ride twice! Highly recommend!

Tour guides were very accommodating and flexible to riders needs. We did the primo, up and down top portion three times because of the rain below. We got a little wet, but didn’t care because we were having so much fun. Light layers and light rain gear helped.

Fabulous excursion, operators week were amazing as focused on safety but also allowed for some independence. Great ride, breakfast stop a local bakery and cafes, hen another element of the ride back to where you started.
