AMAZING TOUR! 100% worth the money and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun activity with friends or family. The hike was rocky but not too hard at all, and the tour guides are very helpful in any slippery areas. WE LOVED OUR TOUR GUIDE! Nelson was amazing!!! He taught us about Yunque and was super funny and enjoyable. 10/10 I have no complaints.
Nelson was a great tour guide. The tour was amazing.
Excellent experience. Nate was awesome. The drinks and fresh fruit was a good treat. However, I recommend providing helmets and require all to wear a lifejacket as a safety precaution. Like other tour groups we saw there. Also a first aid kit will be nice for cuts and bruises. Thank you
A great challenge to do with Family. It was hard but fun. Sebas was great and he did stop a few times( a couple more would have been better. ;)
This was our first excursion in PR and I gotta say... Nate, you spoiled us because we had a blast! We kept talking afterwards about how the rest of the experiences we had during our trip did not stack up to the great time you gave us! Nate knows what he's doing and guides with such ease, we felt great support and was able to just have fun during the whole experience at El Yunque. Glad we went in the morning because it did get crowded as the day went on, with other tour groups having like 20~40 people which proved to be quite dangerous as the hikes and slides became a bit more challenging. Not our group though! We had 6 adults and 3 kids total and Nate ensured everyone was careful & safe, while guiding us on exactly where and how to step/climb as we proceeded. His generosity extended to other tour groups as well since the bigger groups seemed to struggle with keeping their guests in line, so Nate helped out when he spotted other tour group guests struggling. He's just an awesome dude trying to ensure everyone is safe! We're already talking about coming back soon, so when that happens, I'll be sure to guide them your way ;) Sending love to you, Camilla & Eduardo!
Had a great time with tour guide Adriana. We were looking for a real hike and were not disappointed. Enjoyed natural slides, rope swings, and cliff jumps.
This a very unprofessional tour with a guide who had no concern for safety and left my children traumatized. They had my 8 and 10 year olds wear life jackets that were way too big for them and didn't have the adults where life jackets at all. There was no preparation that our "water slide" would actually be dropping into a very strong waterwall that sucked you into a torrential whirlpool sucking us under water and making it difficult to come up for air and get out safely. Both the lifejackets came off above my kids heads and the adults were left with no protection at all. After my kids were hysterically crying that they were scared and didn't want to do the second water fall, the guide insisted they do so. We refused and the guide then said he was done being our guide since we didn't listen to instructions. It was the worst travel experience of my life.
We’re sorry to hear that this experience felt stressful for you and your family. Safety is our top priority, and all guests receive a full safety briefing before entering the water. During the tour, our guides provide clear instructions and closely monitor each activity to ensure everyone is moving safely through the environment. All features, including the natural water slides and jumps, are strictly optional. Guests are always given the choice to remain at designated safe areas if they are not comfortable proceeding. In this case, our guide did provide alternative options and guidance based on the conditions and group dynamics. We do want to emphasize that following guide instructions is essential in a natural setting like El Yunque, where terrain and water flow can vary. Our team is trained to make real-time decisions with safety as the priority. We understand that this type of adventure may not be suitable for all groups, especially those with younger children, and we always encourage guests to review the activity details and difficulty level ahead of time to ensure it’s the right fit. We appreciate your feedback and will continue improving how we communicate expectations so guests arrive fully prepared.
Our guides were very knowledgeable and so helpful. Some of the slides seemed steep but they got everyone through and made us all comfortable. It Was so crowded at first but then we stayed later than everyone else and had it to ourselves. Loved getting chance to do all the things!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the experience and felt comfortable throughout the slides—our guides always prioritize safety while making sure everyone has a great time. The rainforest can get busy at times, but we’re happy you were able to enjoy a quieter moment and really take it all in. That’s one of the best parts of the experience. We appreciate you joining us and hope to see you again on another adventure!
Nelson was our tour guide and was amazing. He knew so much about local flora and really interesting facts about the rainforest. Communication was easy and the trip was great
Thank you for the great feedback—we really appreciate it. I’m glad you had a great time out there and that Nelson made the experience even better. He’s one of our top guides and puts a lot of focus on making the tour both fun and informative. We take pride in making communication smooth and delivering an experience that’s truly worth it, so it means a lot to hear that reflected in your trip. Hope to have you back again in the future. — Nate
Our guide Sebas and he was AMAZING!! It was great, he was very informative, showed where to step and what to expect. The reason why I gave it a 3 stars an not a 5 stars was the false advertising. PARENTS, THIS IS NOT FOR KIDS UNDER 10! I had my 5 and 6 year old because the option we chose the lighter version. The option reads "Quick safety briefing and intro before entering the jungle. Duration: 20 minutes" and then "Begin a scenic 15-minute jungle hike through lush trails filled with tropical plants and wildlife. Reach a hidden natural river pool where you can swim, slide down natural rock formations, and — if you’re up for it — try an optional cliff jump. Relax by the waterfalls, take photos, and enjoy local snacks and water provided by your guide. Duration: 3.5 hours" We did not climb for a grand total of 35 minutes. We climbed up the mountain for 2 miles (2.5 hours) because Sebas told us that this would be a 2 miles climb at the beginning. I asked, is this ok for the kids, he said.. it'll be fine. Parents, I'm talking about steep, sharp, slippery rocks up and down the mountain and cliffs. The other adults and guides had to help bring my kids up and down because it was so hard for them. There were other similar aged kids and those parents struggled as well. The kids had vests but no helmets heaven forbid they would fall. Other tours had helmets except for us. Though I do not regret going to El Yunque, and I loved my guide, this company needs to do better at advertising the truth. I would NEVER have chosen this option for a family with small children.
Hi Beatriz, Thank you for your feedback, and we truly appreciate your kind words about Sebas—he’s a great guide and we’re glad you enjoyed his knowledge and energy during the experience. We do want to clarify a few important points for future guests reading this. Our tour includes different sections with varying levels of difficulty, and guides always provide options along the way depending on each guest’s comfort level. In this case, there was a point where guests could remain at a lower, easier area while others continued to a more advanced section. Our understanding is that your group chose to continue beyond that point and later decided not to proceed with the activity, which led to using a more challenging path. Our guides are trained to offer safer alternatives and clearly communicate options so each group can make the best decision for their situation—especially when children are involved. We always recommend that families with younger children carefully consider the physical nature of the experience, as parts of the rainforest terrain can be uneven, steep, and slippery depending on conditions. That said, we take your feedback seriously and will continue improving how we communicate difficulty levels and expectations so families can make fully informed decisions ahead of time. We’re glad to hear you still enjoyed the beauty of El Yunque, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
