This was the best class! It was so much fun, our chef instructor was funny and excellent, and we met wonderful fellow Warsaw travelers. The food we made was delicious and easy to make even for beginners. Highly recommend this class. The liquor tasting part was also delicious and recommended (unlike the Genever tasting we did in Amsterdam, yuck!).
Hands down, the best thing to do in Warsaw! Especially if you want to get to know the culture, the people and have fun, instead of dying of boredom in all the war museums in this country!
Polish Cooking Class was a great experience. Magda and whole staff were amazing, very helpful and competent. I prepared traditional and delicious Polish pierogi and had great time with firends. Strongly recommend to try! Tip: come really hungry, there is plenty of food :)
This cooking class has been one of our favorite travel experiences we have ever done! Magda was truly the best host and instructor, and she makes the class so much fun. We met some amazing people who were also taking the class, and we could not have asked for better company. And to top it all off, the perogis we made were the best we have had in Poland. We cannot recommend taking this cooking class enough!
Our group attended this class in Warsaw. It was held on the ninth floor of a high rise building. It is a bit challenging to find. Tip-once you get to the address, take the alley to the left of the building and it opens up into a courtyard. Go into the courtyard and then you will see the building. Magda and her team were excellent hosts. We made new friends (a total of 9 were in our class) and together we learned how to make pierogi. There is lots of food! We opted to to do the vodka tasting and glad we did.
We had a brilliant evening, Magda was such a great hostess and walked us through Polish cuisine including Polish traditions and history, delicacies and cooking pancakes and pierogi dumplings. Lost count of the shots we had as well as Polish cider and beer. Thoroughly entertaining evening, totally recommend it.
My wife and I signed up for this not really knowing what to expect. It turned out to be one of the best holiday experiences we've had... between our "teacher" Magda and the mix of, em, trainee chefs on the day (an electic bunch made up of 3 ladies from Up-State New York, 2 ladies from Baltimore, a couple from Belgium and us two Irish), we had four hours of a complete blast!! When working hard in the kitchen, it seemed natural to have your first shot of vodka at 11am. Several more shots of various types of vodka followed over the course of the day - the crowd becoming more and more boisterous, as we prefected our culinery skills. Somehow or other we all made it through to the final award ceremony and were duly presented with our scrolls and wooden spatulas! Whether I ever make pierogi again is debatable. Whether we remember the fun day we had is however certain. Thanks Magda and all who played their part in a day not to be forgotten!!
Ditto to all the reviews. Magda is amazing. Everything is simple and yummy. Went by myself and had a great time. Tip: Mapping out the address, you don't end up at the entrance. I had to call. Apparently, depending on where you book, you get directions on finding the entrance (side of the building). I booked directly via their website (which was more affordable) but had to call to figure out how to get to the class.
The class was a total blast - definitely suggest doing the vodka tasting - well worth it and I’m not a huge vodka fan! The instructor Magda was amazing and so much fun. Tons of food and the pierogi were out of this world. Highly recommend!!!!!
This was a great class and such a fun experience! I did a Friday evening class with Magda. She was excellent! She was attentive with the instruction, so I really did learn how to make pancakes and pierogis. Best of all, she made the class relaxed and fun. I was in the class with various couples who did not know each other and by the end of the class we were all talking and laughing together. This class was my favorite thing that I did in Warsaw. The class was well-organized and well-equipped. The studio itself is really nice. Great value. I can also recommend the liquor option. We got to try various kinds of Polish drinks. You will not regret this class, especially if you end up in Magda's class!
