Great experience. Alex took us to a beautiful scenic area overlooking the city. Along with the Austin Postcard mural.
Tyler was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He knew his state and local history, was open and flexible to changes, and ensured that I had a wonderful time.
Tyler's flexibility and deep knowledge of the local history clearly made for exactly the kind of personal, unhurried experience every traveler hopes for! 🎶
Great little tour with some history about Austin. Ends with a relaxing boat ride to watch the bats take flight.
A boat ride watching the bats take flight is a perfect Austin ending that not everyone knows to look for!
Had a great car tour and sunset boat ride on Lady Bird River. Saw bats and got pooped on—thanks Mike for being a wonderful tour guide!
😂 So glad the bats put on a show and that Mike made the whole adventure such a wonderful one for you.
We booked this tour at the very last minute. The boat portion was unfortunately sold out, but the company immediately contacted us to let us know and offered either an alternative or a full refund. Great communication! We ended up still going on the tour. Our guide, Mike, was super knowledgeable in addition to being friendly and easygoing. He gave us great information about Austin and Texas history and culture and tailored the tour to our interests. We had the best tacos of our lives at a super cute food truck before going to see the bats emerge from the bridge at sunset. It was a really great experience all around!
It is also really wonderful to hear that the last minute communication about the boat was handled so smoothly because that kind of care for guests before the tour even begins means everything to us. Mike sounds like an absolute star
Our tour guide Mike picked us up at the hotel and right from the jump was very nice and KNOWLEDGEABLE of the city! We appreciated the stops and tidbits of information he gave us. Lead us directly to our boat tour and that went amazing as well! Weather was perfect and the boat took us on a quick and fun tour and them lined us up with a perfect spot to see the bats fly out! We love love loved it! Will book again 100% with Mike!
From the hotel pickup to the boat tour and perfect bat-viewing spot, it sounds like everything flowed smoothly and made the experience extra memorable.
Mike was our tour guide and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. While we were waiting for the bats , the boat ride was relaxing and gave everyone a chance to get to learn about each other and about the buildings around us.
Mike was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who made the experience easy and enjoyable.
Jess is the best tour guide. She brought us around showing us local landmarks and the to the boat to see the bats.
Jess made the whole experience really enjoyable, taking us around local landmarks before heading out to the boat to see the bats
This was a really fun experience! We went with a few co-workers and some family for an evening outing and it was a nice, relaxing way to see the water, the bats and the buildings!
Sounds like the perfect evening out with your group! A relaxing mix of water views, city sights, and those famous bats makes it such a unique experience.
Making sure the pick up location is clear. Our pick up location as a coffee shop and there was more than one in the surrounding the area. We lost twenty minutes before connecting to the tour guide. If you want an indepth experience of the city, this is not the tour for you. Because the 45 minute driving arouse is not enough to do that. You have to get to the boat at least fifteen minute before the tuor started to get good seats for the whole family. The bats are very small and you may need to bring along binoculars to see them. They are nothing like the picture on the website. You may be able to see them better if standing on the bridge. The boat was not able to get close to the brudge due to many kayaks around us. On the plus side, the 2 guy named Mike was very knowledgeable of the city and the US history. He was very friendly.
Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback—we’re really sorry for the confusion around the pickup location. We also appreciate your comments about the pacing and expectations around the driving portion. That said, we’re glad to hear Mike made a positive impact with his knowledge and friendly approach 😊
