Description

There were three of us for dinner at the Hotel Ostermann. The menu is very rich, and there is something for every taste. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. The staff were very friendly, and also responded to extra requests (e.g. pepper sauce to the STeak) in consultation with the kitchen. This Service was even free!!!! We spent a very nice evening at the Hotel Ostermann!
We had a great time with our guide, Chi an, Who was very engaging and informative about the places and foods that we ate at. We went through the areas of Singapore that i have never visited, which made it very special. . At the end Chi An texted us the places that we ate at. This was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend it.
Chi an was a fabulous tour guide through the less touristy food centres in Singapore. He was an absolute delight to be with. He looked after us very well and was so respectful, polite and knowledgeable about Singaporean food and culture. We highly recommend Chi an to anyone wanting to experience a fabulous eating tour through this diverse city.
I cannot recommend this food tour enough! Chi An gave us the best time, it was the perfect introduction to Singaporean food and city knowledge. We visited a multitude of different eateries across Kampong Glam and Little India, it didn't feel rushed or we was visiting the usual tourist haunts. Chi An came across as a personal friend and really made the experience special for us. Thankyou so much!
We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with Chi An. We made six separate stops and tried about 15 or 16 different food and beverage items. Chi An ensured that we tried a combination of typical Singaporean items as well as some more exotic dishes. We also appreciated Chi An for revising his itinerary to accommodate my wife who is a vegetarian. During our food stops, we had plenty of time to talk not only about the food, but also about the daily life of Singaporeans. Overall, the tour was fun and informative. We highly recommend it.
This was the first food tour we ever did and it was all that it promised. The foods that we had were quite unique and tasty. We tasted a variety of things you would never think of getting in Singapore, since we didn’t even know they existed. The food ranges from proper dinner food to desserts to biscuits. Everyone gets their fair share of what they like. The tour itself is very well organized. The meeting point is clear. We got contacted beforehand, got every necessary information and were asked if we had any dietary restrictions. Chi An is very passionate about his tour and the food Singapore has to offer. The tour gets adjusted to your likings and food allergies if you have any. We had an extremely relaxing afternoon and nothing felt rushed or hasty. We tried some food, talked about it and everything else that was on our minds and then we went on to the next location. It was a good mix of sitting and eating and walking or bus rides. We highly recommend this tour if you like good foods in even better company.
This is one of the best food tours me and my wife have ever gone to. This is the 3rd time we have visited Singapore yet our tour guide Tsai manages to surprise us with local delicacies that we have never heard of! Not only was he extremely friendly, he was very passionate about introducing us to the local culture and food as well. The food seemed to be endless and he brought us to so many non-touristy spots and it truly felt like an authentic local experience. Our tour guide told us that he was still a university student here in Singapore and that he was new to this platform. However, despite being new, we could see how dedicated he was to making the tour experience an enjoyable one. He mentioned that many of the food tours in Singapore were bringing travelers to already well-known tourist food spots and hence he wanted to offer them something different. We loved the variety of dishes and we truly enjoyed every single one of them! After the tour, Tsai even helped us plan the rest of our trip and gave us recommendations of what else to do and eat. Please do support Tsai! We were left with a memorable experience and we highly recommend other travelers to include this in their itinerary as well! (PS... this goes without saying but please come on the tour with an empty stomach haha!)
