Préparez-vous, notre aventure commence bientôt! Le bus est en route, alors prenez votre équipement, sentez l'excitation, et prenons la route! C'est un lever tôt alors que nous partons pour une aventure inoubliable vers l'un des joyaux naturels les plus époustouflants du Top End - le parc national Nitmiluk et la gorge Katherine!
Partant tôt de Darwin tropical, nous longerons vers le sud la légendaire Stuart Highway, en passant par de charmantes villes historiques comme Adelaide River ou Pine Creek avant d’arriver dans la ville accueillante de Katherine.
En chemin, préparez-vous à être émerveillé par les plantes et la faune uniques que l'on trouve uniquement ici dans le Territoire du Nord. Asseyez-vous, détendez-vous et plongez dans le paysage magnifique pendant que votre guide expert partage des histoires captivantes sur la riche histoire et culture de la région.
Cette gorge magique est entretenue par le peuple Jawoyn, les gardiens traditionnels dont le lien spirituel profond avec la terre donnera vie au paysage d’une manière que vous n’oublierez jamais.
Le clou ? La spectaculaire croisière en bateau NitNit Dreaming à travers les emblématiques gorges de Katherine (Nitmiluk). Pour les amoureux de la nature comme pour les amateurs de sensations fortes, cette croisière de deux heures est un must! Dérivez à travers un canyon spectaculaire encadré par d'imposantes falaises s'élevant à 70 mètres de haut, baignées de teintes en constante évolution tandis que la lumière du soleil danse sur les parois rocheuses.
Arrêt rapide pour vérifier le centre d'accueil et et utiliser les toilettes, avant de nous diriger vers Edith Falls pour une baignade. *Veuillez noter: Selon la disponibilité des bateaux, l'itinéraire de la visite peut visiter Edith Falls avant la croisière Katherine Gorge.
Ensuite, une visite à la tranquille Edith Falls (Leliyn), nichée au cœur du parc. Selon le calendrier, nous visiterons Edith Falls avant ou après la croisière en bateau. Plongez dans la piscine naturelle rafraîchissante pour une baignade fraîche et vivifiante, ou détendez-vous simplement au bord de l'eau et laissez les ondes paisibles vous envahir.
Après avoir rechargé à Edith Falls, nous reprendrons la direction de Darwin, retraçant notre route par Pine Creek ou Adelaide River. Réfléchissez aux sites et aux histoires incroyables de la journée en rentrant chez vous, en emportant avec vous l’esprit inoubliable du parc national Nitmiluk – un endroit où beauté sauvage et riche culture se rencontrent en parfaite harmonie.
Alors que nous revenons à votre point de retrait, asseyez-vous, détendez-vous et revivez la magie de la journée – plein de spectacles épiques, de rires et de moments inoubliables. Quelle aventure ! Le groupe retourne à Darwin City vers 20h00 dans la soirée après une journée remplie de plaisir à explorer le parc national Nitmiluk et les gorges de Katherine.

This tour is definitely well worth doing. It is a long day but the beautiful Edith falls and the Katherine Gorge make it worth while. Our driver and tour guide Boggie made our day interesting and informative.

It is a long day. (14 hours) Be prepared for up to 8 hrs driving. But worth it! Our driver/guide Tom was informative, tireless, great sense of humour and really made the day entertaining instead of gruelling. Edith falls walk is 2km of track (return) with last 100m rock scramble. Stumble watch for those with limited agility!

However, you mentioned it was definitely worth it! I only had the one day to see KG and it was a long one. On the bus a majority of the time, for a 1.5 hour stop at Edith Falls,( that's 30 min to walk there and 30 min to walk back and if you have slower guests-overall during the morning- it can cut down your time at the falls for a swim), and 1.5 hours on the boat to see the gorge.It was worth it for me ( just stunning) however, most your time is spent sitting on the bus. Tour guides on bus and boat were really good in terms of their knowledge of the area and telling interesting facts and stories. Stops for meals were provided-basic fare. Bus has an esky to store and keep food cool if you want to take your own, as well as a water supply to top up your bottles. Bathroom breaks offered. 12 seater Bus had air conditioning and the boat had a roof, which was appreciated in the heat. Hike to Edith falls is an immediate quick elevation but then becomes a more gentle incline that leads to a bit of a rock scramble down to the falls. Need some level of fitness-tricky for the less mobile.

Travel bus time approximately 6 hours but plenty of stops, comfortable vehicle, air-conditioning, water and esky for your food on board! Our tour guide, Tim, was very knowledgeable, informative and gave plenty of time for exploring! Comfortable times between stops..highly recommend this tour, Tim was great!
