Notre voyage commence à la station de métro Panepistimio, place Korai, où nous rencontrons un kiosque traditionnel pour Koulouri, considéré comme le Grec pour aller déjeuner. À chaque arrêt, je partagerai l'histoire du produit ou du repas, soulignant son rôle important dans notre cuisine à travers l'histoire. En chemin, vous pouvez vous attendre à des anecdotes intéressantes et amusantes qui ajoutent à l'expérience. L'un des points forts de la visite comprend la visite de la première pâtisserie de la ville, établie après l'indépendance grecque. Ici, nous aurons le plaisir de déguster les beignets traditionnels à la grecque.

Our family had a wonderful time on this tour - kids (14 and 18) say it was a highlight of the entire trip! Anna and George were wonderful hosts and tour guides, weaving together history of cuisine with history of the country. We tasted meats, seafood, olives, honey, doughnuts, pies and tea - a very tasty, educational and all around wonderful experience. To our delight, our family of 4 was joined for the tour by two locals living in Athens. Communication from the hosts was excellent. Really, can't say enough good things about this tour - 10/10 recommend!!
Anna was such a lovely host to my family on our street food tour. She gave some history of Athens, as well as taking us to many local eats that her and her family have eaten for many years. The food we ate while in the tour was delicious! We had a great variety of sweet and savory foods. We visited a spice shop, the Municipal Market, Olive tasting, and many restaurants. This tour was full of hidden gems we would have never visited on our own! She also gave us great recommendations of places to try on our own time.
I brought my 18-year old daughter and her friend on this amazing experience. I cannot recommend it enough. Our co-guides were so kind and also wonderfully informative.
