Amazing experience! I have nothing but good things to say about choose Balkans. Adam was our Tour Guide. He kept the conversation light and was very funny. He knew a lot about the history of the region, but it felt more like he was telling us a story then giving us a history lesson. I would highly recommend him to anyone who was looking for a relaxed, travel companion. The entire trip went exactly as planned, except for a little traffic. Overall I highly recommend .

It is a very interesting city because of its historical heritage and culture. It is a city where you need to stay at least 2-3 days, because there is so much to see and visit and feel the special atmosphere. Don’t go only to the touristic sites but also stroll on the streets, take a drink or meal to sense the vast difference with other counties.

This was our first time going on a vacation with a tour company and I had my reservations about it given the level I control I like of have over my itinerary but I must say touring with ChooseBalkans was the best decision we made. Sirma was very supportive and responsive right from when we made the enquiry and made sure we were comfortable throughout our 15 day trip. We had a problem with room size of one of the hotels and she was quick to act on the feedback. Our tour guide Dritan was the best companion for the trip. He is very attentive, caring, an excellent driver and a knowledgeable tour quite and one who loves his country Albania very much and wants to show the same to the tourists. Ours tour was tailored to us and since we'd done N. Macedonia on a prior trip, our 2 weeks were spent in Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo. Choose Balkans Tour Company did a great job of putting together an interesting itinerary for us. We saw Albania from north to south - stunningly beautiful and full of history - plus we saw the best bits of Montenegro and Kosovo. Our guide, Sokol was knowledgeable, personable, flexible and totally professional. Add to that that he was s superb driver (a MUST for the area) and you have a combination for a delightful experience. The hotels and restaurants that the company chose were super and with our lack of understanding of the languages in the area, much appreciated. While many restaurants had menus in English, Sokol helped us navigate the menus and choose traditional foods, for example. We highly recommend Choose Balkans - the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful; their English is excellent and their services outstanding.

We got to see amazing unesco protected sites. Berat was my favourite. The staff is very prompt and would recommend.

We didn’t know much about Albania & the Balkans before taking this tour. We decided to visit Albania and the region due to a documentary we saw about the Albanian region. We were thinking to do the tour our selves, however after some efforts we thought it was better to take an organized tour. This was the best decision we made. The tour around Albania was perfectly organized, we would have never been able to put all those things together. Our tour guide Mirjam was a professional english speaking guide with a lot of knowledge about local history folclore and traditions. what we loved best about this tour was that it combined History (Ancient, Medieval & Modern): Berat, Ohrid, Kruja, Shkoder, Butrint, Gjirokaster, with local traditions (Kruja Bazar, Prizren) as well as visits to National Parks: Valbona National Park, Llogara, Ksamili Islands, Syri i Kalter Blue Eye, Albanian Riviera, Ohrid Lake. We only had 2 weeks for this region so this was the only possible way to do 4 countries it two weeks. My favorite food was at Yogurt with honey & nuts in llogara & Koran Fish i Pogradec. Raki (traditional drink every where in Balkans) its very strong in my opinion. Spring was a great choice. We are back home from almost a month and keep on talking about our experience in the Balkans. thanks guys
