We had a very nice workshop with Joeri! After we picked up the stuff, we walked towards the Berlin wall and ironed the wall and had letter lessons. Then we got to work ourselves. It was beautiful weather and a unique experience, which we would not have missed. And the result was there!
We are happy that you enjoyed your Graffitiworkshop. Greetings from Jurij. With colouful greetings Dominik
This was hilariously awful from start to finish. I almost gave it an extra star for being our most talked/laughed about experience in Berlin. The guide didn’t turn up, he was replaced by another guide 30 minutes later who was probably angry about being dragged out of bed on a Sunday morning. He clearly hated his job (or maybe didn’t realize it even was a job). The meeting place was either poorly described or else he was in the wrong place gaslighting us. He didn’t bother looking for two missing participants who just by luck found us after we had started painting. Then the painting itself: we had come prepared with a design but were told it was too “street art” and we had to instead pick a 4 or 5 letter long word. The group agreed on “Berlin” in Japanese as two of the other participants were Japanese and we thought that would be cool. He refused flat out, saying it was too hard and he couldn’t do his style on foreign words. We had to practically BEG him to try which he finally grudgingly did. Then it was time to pick colors, where we were told we could pick anything we like. But when we did we were informed it had to be red, pink, and yellow, and in a particular order from top to bottom. We weren’t allowed to do any detail work or contribute ideas, just follow instructions. If the tour was rebranded as “be a graffiti artist’s assistant” and you were told you would carry his equipment for him and color in his designs according to his wishes, it would have been a 3 star experience. But a workshop it was not. Two weeks later and we are still laughing about how terrible it was. But to be fair, we aren’t talking about all the great things we did while in Berlin, so there is something to be said for bad experiences being bonding moments between friends!?
Great! We wanted to do something "different" and booked the workshop with Jascha. What a highlight! We had a great result on the wall and had a lot of fun doing it. Worth every cent and our bubble is celebrating the pictures we took of it.
Hallo michou, es freut uns, dass Dir der Graffiti Workshop so gut gefallen hat. Schönen Gruß von Jascha!
