I was the only one for that class and I had a private instructor. She spoke English and give me instructions on how to paint a fan. The class was in a flower shop so she let me pick my flowers and colors. I painted my fan with a garland of small yellow flowers. With her guidance I complete the project and I was astonished with the result. I left with a beautiful souvenir : a painted fan of my own making.

What a fun experience! This took place in a beautiful flower shop and my friend and I were the only participants so we received very personal attention. The girls helping us have outstanding skills in English and even with very limited atistic ability on my part, I was able to create a passable fan. Unfortunately, the taxi dropped us at the wrong meeting place but an exceptionally kind manager there walked us to the flower shop at a location that we would never have found on our own. We were amazed at the kindness of all of the Korean people involved.

Had a quiet afternoon designing and painting a fan and took some photos at the end. I was able to get helpful advice on painting on an irregular surface using acrylic and water based paints. Overall a nice time, but I've done quite a few workshops and this one is *very* expensive in comparison. The session I was in also felt a bit rushed as it seemed like they were trying to wrap up in 1 hr 30 mins to 1 hr 45 mins to be ready for next session which wasn't what I expected from a workshop duration listed as about 2 hours.

Highly recommend it! It's a fun, light, entertaining and original japanese experience me and my partner shared. Ruby and the team were welcoming and thoughtful. Neither of us are great painters, but with Ruby's assistance we had some amazing results. If you want to just have fun and paint something silly or want a elegant souvenir the team will help you get there all while ensure you're having fun and have something to share back at home and brag about! As a note, the flower shop is beautiful and worth a visit in itself!

Highly recommend doing this! It’s not as hard as you’d think to paint a fan you’re happy with and it’s such a cool souvenir to take home. I was the only person there for this workshop but the teacher was so lovely and I had a great time - and she had lots of really helpful tips and advice so I was able to paint a fan in happy with.

It was so much fun! I went with some friends and Ruby helped me through the whole process. I am not an artist but she was a great teacher! Now I have a souvenir to take home made from a great experience.

this was just simply a blast. was able to channel my inner artistic abilities through this project and with the guidance of the super friendly stadd I think I made a masterpiece. would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking to connect with their selves through art and want to have a great time with friends!
