Au cours de cet atelier unique, vous apprendrez l'art de transformer du riz gluant cuit à la vapeur en mochi moelleux, symbole de fête et de bonne fortune. Accompagné d'un animateur local, vous pétrirez le riz à l'aide d'outils traditionnels pour en faire de délicieuses friandises agrémentées de garnitures telles que du kinako et de la pâte de haricots rouges sucrée. This was such a special and unique experience! Having already done a previous cooking class with Kazuki I knew I had to give this one a go and it was so interesting seeing how traditional mochi is prepared, as well as trying our delicious mochi after all the hard work that went into preparing it. This was the highlight of my time in Takayama and absolute must do for those wanting to have an enriching insight into Japanese food culture and the influence of Buddhism while also trying some great food.

This was a wonderful experience! Our instructor Kazuki-san explained the history of mochi, taught us the culture of meals, and clearly explained and showed us how to make delicious mochi! Best mochi I've ever had!
